Reolink Client 8.5.1 Version Is Officially Available!

Hi everyone, Client 8.5.1 is officially available on our website now. You can download the Client here, App & Client - Reolink.
What's New on Client 8.5.1 version- Add the ability to move the privacy mask after drawing.
- Add a setting that can uniformly modify the date & time format for all cameras in Client Settings.
Improvements:
- Improve the User Interface in Live view, Playback Settings.
- Improve the User Interface of the motion detection setting page.
- Improve the User Interface of the storage page.
- The SD card icon will show on the device list if the SD card is not detected.
- When failing to configure the FTP and Email, a pop-up window will appear and indicate the reason.
Fixed:
- Solved known bugs.

strange that the reolink desktop app (was 8.3.1) was showing "you already have the actual version installed" when pressing button to check for update and 8.5.1 is already available...

Have you turned on the auto-upgrade?
You can also check the Client version at "About Reolink". -

Have you checked if it is 8.5.2 at "About Reolink"? If you have the 8.4.1 but it said that you have installed the 8.5.2, please give me some screenshots and I will find our tech for help. -
@reolink-fiona No I have version 8.4.0 installed and it will not update as states it is already the most up to date version:
As you can see there is no option to upgrade? -
@trelower2_471448109822110 I gave up and just uninstalled the version I had and downloaded and reinstalled the latest version. I dont have time to go back and forwards for a solution.
This should have been tested and sorted before releasing bugged software maybe? -
but there is a big problem: ..it is not possible to see a split screen remotely (i.e. 4,6,8,9,10 ... 36 cameras), only one camera is visible. this works locally without any problems. what to do?

@reolink-fiona I am new to Reolink. I have downloaded b;ient 8.5.1 and I am struggling to find a manual to learn "how to"
tried to delete recorded video but nothing happens, I can select video but when I click the sissor icon nothing happens.
all the video on your help page are for a different version, the scrren shots you show are different.
do you have a manual for this up to date version? -

I have to click each camera individually to view live

The recordings can't be deleted in the APP/Client. If you want to delete the recordings, you need to take out the SD card and delete them on the PC.
The scissor icon is to cut the video to the proper length of the video you want. It is not to delete the recording.
The manual is not updated to the latest version now. You can ask anything you want. We are willing to help. -

If you fail to do that, do you mean that when you click the number, it doesn't show the muti-view? Or you can't see the number?
You can also try to install Client version 8.5.2 and see if it can work.

Hi there, sorry for the inconvenience caused. Now you can install the Client which downloads from the download center. The latest version hasn't been all put in the background of the Client now. So some users can't be upgraded from the Client. You can find the latest version on the center earlier.

@reolink-fiona 8.5.2 appeared very quietly (apparently a week since release an my client still couldn't update to it automatically, so I've downloaded manually). Are there any release notes?

Client 8.5.2 is mainly to solve some known issues.- High CPU consumption on some Mac devices.
- Fail to view the download button when the scale and layout are set to larger than 150%.
- Other known issues.

I have 13 cameras - mainly Argus 2, PT, and PT Go... i still have to run v8.2.6 on MacOS (12.x) as i've found several issues with the later versions, including the Dec 7 release, namely -
- will not enumerate all cameras upon startup - you have to manually hit 'connect' for each
- GO (4G) cameras will not display - I've tried to remove and add via UID to no avail. Yet v8.2.6 displays them every time.
- the enumeration time to display a camera is considerably longer
Thus if you're having odd issues with 8.4.x or 8.5.x on MacOS, i'd give v8.2.6 a try as i've never had an issue with it.
