Now the Android/IOS APP is available in the Google Play store or Apple APP store.
You can also download the Android APP here, https://bit.ly/3N3WMbZ.
(The APP adopts a grayscale release strategy so that the update time will differ in different regions. Please pay attention to the recent update.)
Changelog
1. Work with Reolink Video Doorbell series.
2. Work with the Reolink Floodlight series. (Only iOS is Available Now.)
3. Removed the Pet detection switch.
You may notice that the pet detection switch is removed. Please don’t worry that we just removed the button instead of the pet detection feature.
We will make the official pet detection gradually. In this APP, pet detection is enabled by default. You can set up the pet detection recording schedule, tracking types, spotlight detection types, etc.
Note that only 8MP and above cameras support Pet detection.
4. Reolink Cloud supports multiple subscriptions.
5. Fixed bugs.Reply QuoteShare2- Share this Post

Thanks for the update. Can you please let us know what bugs have been resolved by this release?
-
@reolink-fiona nice update. Is there any plans to be able to see events on the timeline when doorbell was pressed? Right now I can only see person and motion detection events but not doorbell events. Seems kind of important

@l-évêque-du-péché_541504511598783 : I have the same problem.
-
@faasio82_480971996033257 You need to exit the application when you have all the selected channels being displayed. Then if you run the application again you will see the live view on all the selected channels.

App has landed in Australia, working fine so far, no issues - running on Samsung s21 and s21 ultra (Hardware decoding off)

@l-évêque-du-péché_541504511598783 I have been using the new Android version since Fiona provided the link and so far haven't encountered any issue on Samsung S10, S10+ and S21. Can you turn off the hardware decoding? If still unable to view cams then email Reolink support.
-
At first I was happy with this version, but unfortunately watching playback in High Resoltion is not always smoothly.
Hardware decoding is off.Reply QuoteShare1- Share this Post

@faasio82_480971996033257 It has been improved and I only have slow motion instances from the Argus 2. From the other cams the playback is smooth and sound is continuous. Argus 2 is now the first generation and I think it is a processing power issue. I did the tests on S10+ too.
-
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 : It is better, but not all the time on my 523WA.
I will test it for the next few days and see how it goes. -
@faasio82_480971996033257 Most probably you encounter this when using the mobile PS. If you encounter the issue again change to WIFI and try again. Sometimes the eNodeB serving your smartphone may have traffic peaks which delay the packets delivery. Note that packets are sent over UDP.

the new update has greatly improved the fluidity of playing videos and watching live in maximum quality.
now videos are smooth to play in high quality(android app 4.33, samsungs10+).
But in the Windows application the videos are still played a little shaky. need to fix this (ver 8.8.2) -
- For me this app did not improve videos playing smooth on my phone.
- But worse, it seems to have introduced a new problem. I use email alerts and it does not sync with the NVR any longer. It used to work fine. Now if I turn on/off email alerts in the app it does not turn it on or off on the NVR. I have to log into the NVR and disable/enable email aters that way for it to take effect.

@reocam_448003255267488 I have found that when watching one camera and the video playback is choppy i click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and then click on channel selection a lot of cameras are selected instead of just the one I'm currently watching. And if I uncheck all but the one I want to watch then go back the video playback is smoother. It seems to be the issue and I wish when you selected one camera and not 4 to watch it would automatically deselect all other cameras but it currently doesn't do that. So that seems to be the main problem with playback in my opinion.
-
@curls I appreciate your reply but I don't think that it pertains to the issue. When I experience this issue I am only looking at one screen at a time. I am not looking at multiple screens such as in "immersive" mode. I believe channel selection only pertains to immersive mode. If I uncheck all cameras but one then you basically disable immersive mode.
I kind of expect it to be a bit choppy in immersive mode since you are looking at multiple streams at once, But when you are looking at only one screen it should be fluid. And it used to be fluid in the older version of the android app so they must have changed something that made it worse.
