@reolink-oskar Thanks Reolink Team for the products you have released during 2024 and for making our properties more safer than before at a moderate pricing. Appreciate that we provide constructive criticism with the objective to make you better every year. Hear your esteem customers what they have to say and what they suggest. Hoping that 2025 will be more successful and that the firmware and clients will be more stable. In addition we recommend you to perform more intensive testing and assign more resources to software development. It is also important to have synchronicity across all development teams.
@mamymam2013_465350299701478 I am running 8.11.0 on Windows 10 and 11 and have no issues. However, I did have an issue with the latest version but I sorted it out myself. Version 8.11.0 runs on Win 64bit architecture. I asked them to compile their new application for both 32 and 64 bit OS.
@drealine_329342379503810 Yes, we did suggest support to add the backup and restore of configuration file on each cameras. Hope one day we will get it.
@reolink-oskar It's nice but I still say that the vertical FOV of 55 degrees is rather low. In actual fact it may be less than this value. My personal opinion.I presume that the reset button is included on the camera and not part of the cables.
@reolink-lorenz Done. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to assist you based on our experience.
@antonio089_626720538640449 if you have no electricity then your option is to have 4G cameras charged through a solar panel as suggested by Steve. And ensure that you have local recording (on SD) as well as in the cloud just in case the cameras are stolen. There is the GO PT plus and Duo 2 LTE.Have a look at https://m.reolink.com/product/reolink-go-pt-plus/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9IrI8YnQgAMVhdzVCh32FQTWEAAYASAAEgIYdPD_BwEEnsure you have a strong 4G coverage as HSPA bandwidth (3G data) is not enough.
@big_ted Vertical FOV is too low. People are still opting for DUO 2.
@james-jenner_683177101791235 You have it since midnight but you can scroll the red indicator (on Android) on the time scale. I do not have an issue. Perhaps what can be done is to point to the last recorded clip and move backward.@lorenz Can you please ask the dev team to see if they can point to the last recorded clip when playback is selected?
@boss06518_449790654218427 Just have a search for '12V 4A with 2 way splitter' and you will find at Amazon.
Reolink should start to close the gap with other brands by introducing more detections such as sound, package, facial recognition and temperature.
@qualitystreet360_438079762100362 I don't owe any NVR. I record on SDs and transfer the files to an ftp server. You need a DC current clamp meter. I suggest you to email Reolink support and ask them.
@user_727993210269845_727993210269845 Well RTSP entails for a constant stream and so producing one from a wireless camera requires the feed 24/7. The solar panel don't produce enough power to run a continuously transmitting camera. But even though the solar panel did produce enough power to run during the day, then you need a high capacity battery to having run during the night. And this comes at a cost.
@reolink-fiona We need more selections...60s, 90s and 120s or I would make it selectable between 15 and 180s. After all it's a software timer.
@leeawhite_475558898094213 I am not aware of the v8.12. Has this been provided by support?
@user_692258092847314_692258092847314 You may hide it in a small plastic junction box near the solar panel.
I have seen various requests in this community and reddit whereby customers have requested old firmware versions, maybe following a bad upgrade or an upgrade which failed to provide the desired outcome. Contacting support to get the previous firmware may take days and this cannot be the case for security. Therefore it is recommended to have the old firmware of the cameras also available in the download center.
@abruemmer_294883353338065 Which one you want? Perhaps this one https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.11.0.exe
@ergomanservices_704492722979564 You need webhook or a simple http request or matter but none of these are available on Reolink cameras. So what can you do? You can enable email on detection with the email address being the Pushover account and then instructs pushover to send notifications. You can also enable ftp and when the file is received then you can write an application to send a notification.
@reolink-fiona For battery operated cameras they need your support team to make it available for download, but others can be freely added on the website. Of course if it is known that the firmware is buggy then it should be excluded. This saves requests to support team and even allow customer to restore their cameras quicker. I guess that the software engineers did implement a check of the firmware against the hw before the customer applies the upgrade as otherwise it was cause more issues. The less you off-load the more efficient the customer care will be.
@ecri_153017360044193 The programmers programming the Windows client used old DirectX9 libraries and this has caused issues with video. I did mention this in my replies to members.
