@john_wick7777 Which cameras have you bought? You have 4 options.
For scenario 2 please refer to https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003493434-How-to-Set-up-FTP-via-Reolink-App/ and https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007011353-How-to-Build-FTP-Server-on-Your-PC-Cerberus-FTP-Server-/Should be fairly easy :).
@user_732783462150313_732783462150313 I suggest you to email Reolink support. I don't have this camera.
@user_733620297433279_733620297433279 You're welcome.
@user_684184404328677_684184404328677 What is your setting on smart detection under Alarm Settings? You also need to select persons under Record (if recording on SD) and push/email notifications.
@laphunhon_689657095459000 We have requested events sequence history and seems to be still on the priority list. This is especially useful when the object is detected across a number of cameras. Hope we will see it implemented.
@user_733620297433279_733620297433279 Check out this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002376355427.html
@user_646906926391321_646906926391321 Did you check the mobile signal strength at the location? Is it on the TAG/LAC boundary where there are lots of handovers between 4G and 3G? Your smartphone should be on 4G/5G too. 3G data(HSPA) don't provide enough bandwidth to establish communication with the camera especially if this is set to High resolution.
@user_733569851515104_733569851515104 If you have Reolink cameras then go to Reolink Download Center and download the Windows/MAC client. Then add your cameras using UID or let the client scans for the cameras provided that client and cameras are on same network.
@frederic-fusillier_236807380766857 In case of battery operated cameras, only the PIR circuit is drawing current while the application is in cold state. So whenever the PIR detects an objects it runs the the application which analyses the object. Therefore from the time it detects movement to the instant it start recording, a few seconds elapse and so you may miss the first part. There are times that if the object get out of the field quickly, the camera won't capture it and then you will wonder what has triggered it. I have the DUO 2 WIFI battery operated camera and I placed it on the roof where the activities are rather minimal. To capture a few seconds before the camera has been triggered then you need a dc/poe powered camera which is constantly capturing. Their detection is based on pixel change rather than PIR and have longer range.
@paynesbaptistchurch_701495764971878 Yes, disable any motion in recording and push/email notification.
@ss4sgoku_239593250332868 I can fully understand you and we (customers) have been asking Reolink team to originate a VOIP call whenever the push button is pressed similar to what is being done by a number of competitors. They shall be implementing a different tone when the button is pressed but this is not what we are after. In a noisy environment or your phone is in the pocket a beep will not be sufficient. Please submit a request to Reolink support to have VOIP call for the doorbell.
@mattsam_722200558489732 In live view you mean? Note that PIR sensors utilise the detection of infrared that is radiated from the objects that emit heat. Triggering the PIR is by moving across the sensing slots rather than approaching the sensor.You needed a dc powered camera with pixel changes detection which have a range of 100 feet rather than a battery camera which uses PIR.
@glenn-george_395077210939556 Well Done.
@jaygo_370576055292153 If not pushed by Reolink support (mostly battery operated cams), just download it on PC and push it through the Win/Mac client.
@gaven_507857660539110 Increase motion sensitivity to 90%, Person detection to 65 and set the alarm delay to 0s.
@gaven_507857660539110 Sometimes the firmware of old cameras are not updated in the Download Center. It is recommended to check with Reolink support. Submit your request at https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@barentsea-skipper_732925001851048 I suggest you to submit your request to Reolink support on https://support.reolink.com/requests/ . The download center is not always updated to the latest fw version especially for old cameras.
@mattsam_722200558489732 From its specs we can see that the max PIR detection range for moving and living object is 10m. For vehicle it is up to 15m.
@ecri_153017360044193 The programmers programming the Windows client used old DirectX9 libraries and this has caused issues with video. I did mention this in my replies to members.
@clark_463039665144015 This is not secured.
