@vfxwolf_668981017202794 To check firmware of cameras via NVR follow this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005175034-How-to-Find-out-Camera-Firmware-Version-via-Reolink-PoE-NVR And to upgrade cameras via NVR follow this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005131094-How-to-Upgrade-Firmware-via-PoE-NVRs
@jesse Kindly send an email to Reolink support to update you on the status of this.
@colovin_541922116624611 Most probably it is a WIFI issue. Would you be able to ask him to change to 2.4G and check it out? There are android WIFI analyzer which you can install on the smartphone and check the WIFI strength at the location of the camera. Do you think he will allow you to add his camera to your smartphone and check it out yourself? This shall verify that there is no issue on his smartphone.
@user_668935731171433_668935731171433 Did you try to insert the SIM in another smartphone and check connectivity again?
@thresher81_667599009603590 Select the camera and go to the live view window. Then do right click and you shall have all the resolutions available for that camera.
@blendih Yes, a number of ports should be open to allow communication with a number of entities like Reolink P2P servers (UDP port 9999), establish communication with camera from client (TCP port 9000), browser access using HTTPS 443 or HTTP 80, ONVIF 8000 (or whatever value you have set it), Live streaming protocol RTSP 554, Live streaming protocol (Requires Adobe Flash) RTMP 1935 and UDP ports for media transfer with Reolink client/NVR.
@user_640586162651174_640586162651174 On the camera's SD, the filename is cameraname_Startdatetime_enddatetime.mp4 and so they must have maintained the same format. As you stated they will be easily identified. Did you suggest it to Reolink support?
@user_663909349224533_663909349224533 If smartphone is unable to read the QR code sticker as it is blurry then you can still add it by manually entering the UID number. In this case, please tap input UID/IP under the scan window, choose UID, enter the UID of the camera and tap Next to proceed.
@robin-p-blanchard_74742587714 Good point. And members are also looking for the functionality to delete clips on the microSD.
@user_667446381625459_667446381625459 It is rather impossible to find an adjustable wedge having the exact position of screw holes of the Reolink doorbell. Wasserstein have a 35 to 55 degress adjustable wedge and according to the description it suits the Arlo doorbell camera. This has nearly the same dimensions as those of the Reolink doorbell. All you need is a template of the wedge so as to check that the position of the screw holes are within the solid area. This can then easily be drilled.
@gdkace_662252126924877 the free plan is 8s per clip as indicated in https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000641926-Introduction-to-Reolink-CloudThis means that the camera is able to record more than 4s. Do you have another SD? Can you check if there are errors on the SD? Place the microsd in the adapter and inserted in Win PC. Check the disk letter assigned and from command prompt use chkdsk sddiskletter/f There are many tools to test and verify the SD.
@lh52f_586093100580917 Agreed if both 5G and 2.4G have the same SSID. I solved it by having distinct SSID.And they should add 'forget network'.
@gdkace_662252126924877 It might be there are errors while writing to SD. Did you try to format the SD or replacing it? Try to bind it to the cloud using the free storage plan and check it out.
@miragecy_488743704580270 they should make the light sensor sensitivity adjustable. I have the video doorbell and the IR is activated at late evening. Can you relocate the doorbell to a position where there is less illumination at night? If you have a visitor will you be able to see the person in full colour? If yes then you do not need IR.
@antastico_651941844185152 Did you report this to support? Are you using POE or WIFI cams?
@bradleythomasthornton_579789494964573 When you changed the server to HTTPS, it’s telling the browser to connect via a different port (443 – HTTPS), whereas normally, you connect via (80 – HTTP). Without an SSL Certificate (exchanged during handshake), the server would refuse the connection. So, in short words, HTTPS is simply not possible without a certificate which encrypts the communication between the NVR and the browser. So previously you were connecting to NVR using HTTP and all of a sudden you were not able. And when you enabled HTTPS then you were able to access. I think when you use HTTPS there was a redirect 301 and connected to HTTP and you got that message.
@user_667513685061740_667513685061740 And clips should be sent in high definition.
@daz_58170128017 Can you please take a screenshot and email Reolink support so that they will delve further? It would be nice to have a wireshark trace but won't recommend as there is the transfer of the credentials between the application and the cameras. I agree that this is frustrating.
@julian_481116254322917 Moreover the size of the two pak files are of the same size, namely, 46,281,119 bytes. Will ask support to clarify. Thanks to point it out. Update: Email sent.
@beertsen_655087648468999 Ensure that the POE switch is 802.3af compliant (48V) and supports active mode. Active PoE only turns on the power when the downstream device requests it, they then negoitate what class and wattage they want.
