@merbine_640217202712690 I suggest you to submit your request to support on support @ reolink . com. I don't think that they will read it here.
@jvoorn_553342889185535 I haven't yet got any feedback. I suggest you to email support on support @ reolink . com
@nick_26792935116 I have already told them but they limit this due to scams. At Reddit there is no issue how often you post and it is more lively.... I am there too but not as a moderator despite that I am the most technically qualified :).Moreover there are lots of active users who provide support and sometimes the complaints raised are quite interesting. Here..........a few replies. So if you have a complain raise it in Reddit.
@merbine_640217202712690 Most PIR are within the 10m to 15m range. So to have a longer range then opt for a 4G router and a WIFI mains powered cameras which can provide a detection range of 100 feet. You may use WIFI extender too if the main router signal strength is not enough.
@fido_793104815919335 Does the Asus Zenwifi XT8 have POE ports? Can you tell us how the network is setup?Try to use the cable of working POE camera and see if you are able to connect. Try to add it using the UID.
@alessiogian_760987134431472 use the Windows or Android client go to networks/advanced and enable https/http.
@christian_kubat_529310527582451 You need to email support on support @ reolink . com
@user_875416721178867_875416721178867 If you have WIFI then you have power. If you are able to get a power point in the vicinity then you can opt for a mains powered WIFI cam. Or better run a cat5 cable and connect it to a POE switch. Then opt for a POE camera. These cameras rely detection on pixel changes and so have longer range say 30m or above. The only battery cam provided by Reolink is the battery Trackmix with a big solar panel. But this is very costly.
@joel-rollier_863093175640274 the vertical field of view is the same. You just enlarged the picture.
@joel-rollier_863093175640274 Unfortunately there is no feature to enlarge the vertical FOV of the Argus 4 Pro. For the nearly 180 degrees cams, they have really lowered the vertical FOV. We have noticed this on most cams like DUO 3 vs DUO 2, RLC-811WA vs RLC-511WA, etc. At reddit community, the moderator seems to have most of the cams released and he did the comparison. He even stated that some have less FOV than what has been specified in the specifications. I did request support to ask the hw team to widen the vertical FOV. The sensor allows this but don't know the reason behind it. Maybe they are using the same processors which don't have sufficient processing power to provide this? So they increase the horizontal FOV at the expense of the vertical FOV.
@iulian-tatarcan_132045030453418 I did ask Reolink for this too. It should be transparent to customers. Didn't get any feedback.
@mench304_423698008174836 email your suggestion to support. Most probably they won't read our requests or comments made here.
@user_875416721178867_875416721178867 Battery cams can only record based on event trigger. For 24x7 you need to have the Atlas PT but this can do the 24x7 for 96 hours per charge.
@nick_26792935116 You may not see the effect right now but by time.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Uh you are right. I mistakenly checked the one adjacent to it which is RLC811WA. Thanks.
@merbine_640217202712690 How about having a 4G router and then connect to the cameras through WIFI. Then you would opt for a mains powered camera which provides 24x7 recording and a detection range of 100 feet.
@hk-devices_510046838391027 The charging circuit limits the charging current and so you have to use the rated one. Try to contact supplier on support @ reolink . com
@rpotter28_851891842711683 Yes, you can set the mode to timer during which time the spotlight will be on as illustrated below.
@user_790914341261457_790914341261457 If you use the SD cards only, then you can either record on event detection or 24x7. These are mutually exclusive. To have both then you need an NVR or an HA (using ONVIF/RTSP). For 24x7 recording on SD, ensure that it is of high endurance. And for NTP you can set a local NTP server or just allow port 123 through a firewall. Whatever is the easiest.Yes, if you record solely on SD then the only bandwidth used is when you view the camera.
@user_790914341261457_790914341261457 consider an average bandwidth of 8Mbps for 8MP camera then for 100 cams recording all the time you need a bandwidth of 800Mbps. So 1G network is more than adequate. You can play 4k movies too and you won't experience any delays. If you won't use push/email notification and you don't want to access the cameras from an external network then there is no need for the camera to have access to the Internet. Just either record to the internal SD or NVR or HA or ftp server.Consider a backup of the recordings. If camera is stolen then you have no recordings. Normal practice is to record events on SD and 24x7 on NVR.
