@reocam_448003255267488 Yes you can. Check out this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000537406-How-to-Connect-PoE-Switch-Router-and-Reolink-NVRs/
@cle_911680035188990 Correct. On the HHP you have three pre-configured scenes, namely, Home, Away and Disarm. Apart from these you can have an additional 3 customised scenes. Once again it is really pity that there is no scheduler. This could have easily been implemented on the HHP. Again this should have been implemented from day 1. Personal opinion.
@reolink-oskar There are various scenarios to consider when no WIFI is available.
@user_829660786163951_829660786163951 This is based on PIR which detects the Infrared emitted by the object and it is triggered immediately when the object crosses adjacent slots. If you approach the PIR then it takes time to trigger the PIR until you come within 5 metres when the adjacent slots are nearer. So the best location is that the PIR direction is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the object as illustrated in the pattern detection diagram.Note that PIR have a short range of max 10m with the sensitivity set to the highest value. And when the camera is IDLE only the PIR and WIFI circuits are drawing current. When it is triggered it will start the application, start the recording, identifying the object type and triggers the push notification/email. So it takes time. Sometimes as you stated the object is not shown in the video as it has already passed the FOV.Best option is to have plug in cameras which are constantly recording and their detection is based on pixel changes. Here you will get recording before the cam was triggered.
@chopstix Fully in agreement. And on the HUB they should allow the deletion of clips using the admin account. There is a lot of features which can be added some of which may not require changes at the camera side.
@chopstix So far Reolink introduced file encryption on Home Hub, Home Hub Pro, Altas Pt and Altas PT Plus. Reolink stated that it will deploy this encryption to its products (maybe recent releases plus new ones).Unfortunately if WIFI is lost or the HHP is switched off and there are recordings on the cameras SD, the HHP will not synchronised the video clips. User has to delete camera and access it in standalone. There have been a lot of requests from customers to allow them to access the cameras directly and hope they are working on it. Personally this should have been available from the day the HHP has been released.
@user_827561404055684_827561404055684 No. But you can either get this log from the ftp server or run Wireshark at the egress of the router and filter on ftp. What is the issue?
@budget_831216332738709 If you have no access to camera from any client then the only solution is to reset the camera.
@engrguy_908523549638881 Try to use email where a oicture is attached to the email. You can take a photo or initiate a video recording by clicking on the respective icons appearing on the screen when in LIVE view.It could be that the object moved quickly from the field of view and so it won't be recorded. You need a plug in camera ( POE or WIFI ) which continuously records and can provide 10s recording prior the event. This is not available on battery cams.
@ram_799163019051222 Unfortunately no. If used as 24x7 the consumed current will be higher than the charging current. Opt for a POE or mains powered WIFI doorbell for 24x7 recording.
@brodie Did you take it up with their support?
@chopstix You should get a CX810 or perhaps asking to test out the CX820 which is still not yet available. I have the Argus 4 Pro and during the night the view is quite colourful. The street lighting is adequate. You have some reflection from the wall.
@cle_911680035188990 Before using the shortcuts ensure the push notification is enabled and working on all cameras. Then use the activate shortcut....even though already activated. Just once. Then use disable shortcut....and when you go out enable shortcut.I have the home hub pro and I disabled its WIFI. I am using my WIFI network which covers all my house and garden. I connected the HHP to the switch...or it can be connected to the router. Don't forget to check for any newer firmware at their Download Center. You have to manually update the cams. For battery cams you have to ask support on support @ reolink . Com.
@nick_26792935116 This can be seen from the updates. See when they have released the last Win update. Most customers are integrating their cameras to third party applications such as HA which provides features not yet available on any Reolink application. The Reolink Windows application is not meant for 24x7. This is how I see it.
@travasaurus_893442009145504 This is so on all clients (Android/Windows.. don't use IOS/MAC) for all dual lens 180 degrees wide cameras. DUO 2, 3 and Argus 4 Pro.
@cle_911680035188990 Why don't you use the shortcuts. One to enable and one to disable. Have a look at https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026049414-What-is-Scene-Mode-and-How-to-Set-the-Scene-Mode-for-Your-Cameras-on-Reolink-App/If the cams are connected to the Home Hub, a schedule is added to the shortcuts. See https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/37479538798105-Introduction-to-Scene-Mode-for-Reolink-Home-Hub/So you save all your videos to their SDs and if the camera is stolen........ no evidence. Consider adding a Home Hub Pro even though these cameras have FTP and you can ftp the video to an ftp server.
@chopstix To the best of my knowledge time lapse photos are saved to the SD only. In case of NVR, a time lapse can be exported from a recorded video onto a USB attached to its USB port.In case of Home Hub Pro (HHP), you can enable the time lapse but it is saved on the SD. Once completed one can watch it using the appl. through the HHP.
@brodie I had the same issue with 4.51 but once I upgraded to 4.52 I didn't get any more lags in playback x1. For sure there is room for improvements on both the live and the playback modes esp when having WIFI cameras. Normally video and audio streaming use UDP but they use TCP when locally connected. Hopefully this will be fixed.Do you experience the same lagging if your smartphone is on the same WIFI as the cameras?
@user_736098558853348_736098558853348 It's unusual. Some people don't insert correctly the c-type plug into the socket on the camera. One has to push a bit. If you encounter the same issue and while still under warranty then I suggest you to email support on support @ reolink.com.
@user_914458500501648_914458500501648 Correct. Applies to most Windows applications.
