@user_933469458169984_933469458169984 The best option I see is to restore the camera. This will surely solve most of the issues. Assumption is that there is no issue on the smartphone side.
@reolink-oskar As I have already stated, Reolink should include the battery cams in their download center for customer to check whether any newer firmware has been released. Then they will ask support to push the fw. Why not allow customer to push the fw through the website? This will alleviate emails reaching your support team. Be more proactive pls.

@denverbenve73 Personally, I prefer to connect the cameras through a managed switch rather directly to the NVR port. The hybrid switch is implemented by connecting the 100mbps ports bus to the uplink bus and use software to enable switching. So if enabled, the router assigns the IPs to the cameras. If disabled then the NVR assigns the IP to the camera. If NVR is down you won't access the cameras. So connect NVR and cameras to the switch and the uplink of the switch to the router. Note that NVR and cameras have to be on the same subnet.

@big_ted And why we still don't get the prompt from the application that there is a new fw available. It can also list the changes or include a URL so that customers know what has been added/changed/improved or deleted.
@mamymam2013_465350299701478 In my last requests I have been through this. For me it seems that the front support is AI based. Irrelevant questions and email not read. To update a firmware I sent 5 emails. Previously in one email I got the fw pushed to my UID.I have already expressed this to support. It's up to them to improve.

@chopstix IMAP and SMTP addresses is disroot(dot)org Try port 993.If she is a bit technical, she can capture a trace using wireshark. Maybe there are more details which Reolink camera is not exposing with the error.
@chopstix Of course to log one needs the credentials. Some customers apply simple passwords which hackers can find in minutes. Maybe you have http/https disabled on that camera. Enabke it and try to access it using a Web browser. You shall be prompted for credentials.
@chopstix So if POE/DC WIFI/Battery cam is connected to the HHP then there is no way to access the camera directly. If, however, the POE camera is connected to the POE NVR port then again it is not possible to access it directly (there is a way to do it.... for Advanced users :)). But if connected through a POE switch then you are able to access it directly. In case of a DC WIFI cam you can access it directly despite connected to NVR.
@celina_867750978158811 Try with port = 465 (implicit TLS/SSL). Maybe Reolink cams won't send the STARTTLS. I am not home and so I cannot confirm this.

@chopstix Np. If the camera is connected through the HHP then there is no way to access it using the UID. But when you remove it from the HHP they can reach it. However, Reolink are working on having the possibility to access the cameras directly even though they are connected to the HHP. This is the same in case the camera is connected directly to the NVR. If, however, it is connected through a switch then it can be reached too.

@user_884734665736402_884734665736402 Just enable UID and you can connect from anywhere provided you have ample upload speed from your router (min 12Mbps).
