@crimp-on_62210811129 We have a phrase but cannot write it as I will be banned. So simple....few seconds to add it to release history. We are in 2025. So imagine if the code is not commented. The outcome is instability if more than one is working on it. My colleague has TAPO and when there is a new fw the client prompts a window informing him whether to update or not. And this is from the Android client. This can easily be implemented by letting the client check for newer fw say once every week...in the background. This is all software. No Phd is needed. I have an RLC811WA and I observed that when there are tcp retransmission packets the audio stops and you see frames freeze when viewing in clear mode. I told them that in video and audio the norm is to use UDP even on local networks.. For this you see that the bit rate shown on the Android client varies. I think they need to revise the network services on this camera. I have a Trackmix a few meters away and it works better. Compared to the RLC511WA, the RLC811WA has lower vertical FOV. It seems that newer cameras have lower vertical FOV. I dont think it is a sensor issue. Moreover the clip magnifier on the RLC811WA doesn't work on any client. I told them but has never been fixed.
@user_672936957612150_672936957612150 From the description appearing on the screen this is not a repeater but rather an access point. It states to connect it to the ethernet port of the NVR. I do not think Reolink will make any access points or repeaters as it will never match those available on the market. This simple tells you how to extend the WIFI signal using any access point. It shall use same credentials as the host.Eh he....you posted it on Reddit too...and Facebook didn't see it.
@boomish_893913578897601 Which Doorbell cam is this? WIFI/POE or battery. I have both the WIFi and the battery doorbells. With the WIFI I have no issues at all. But with the battery doorbell, there is a delay of around 5 to 8s to log on. Push notifications works fine for both.You need some time to get accustom to Reolink cams. Consider yourself changing from Juniper/Fortinet to Cisco.I use Android and Windows clients and I don't use their NVR. I integrate them with HA and ftp clips to an ftp server. The nicest part of Reolink is that there is no subscription and all functions are onboard. But I do agree that they lack in software and functionalities. We have been telling them what we need to have and improve. We voice our concerns but it's up to them. There are lots of camera suppliers and customers may easily migrate if they see a better supplier with better cameras/software and better customer service. Business is not about quantity but quality.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Indeed. I have asked for more non-detection zones based on irregular shape each of which should have distinct detection objects, schedules, email and push notifications. This is ALL software driven by a a state machine. This is a piece of cake. How many complex applications I did.
@big_ted Vertical FOV is too low. People are still opting for DUO 2.
@user_787243098198190_787243098198190 Long time no chat. Have your issues been sorted out?I have been telling them this for years. Rather than having to look for each camera in the download center I just look at the release on https : // github . com / AT0myks / reolink-fw-archive/releases . I can't put a simple link on this website.
@ben-l_363180304232580 yes. Email support on support @ reolink . Com
@user_906941376667876_906941376667876 Or better irregular shape. Submit your request to support on support @ reolink . com
@7umner_491204844798138 These are the characters which are allowed/not allowed in password. Check out yours.Not allowed characters:!"#$ &'() , /:;<=>? []^ {|}~Allowed characters:% *+ -. @ _ (space)Update IOS client to latest version.
@reolink-oskar It's nice but I still say that the vertical FOV of 55 degrees is rather low. In actual fact it may be less than this value. My personal opinion.I presume that the reset button is included on the camera and not part of the cables.
@user_736098558853348_736098558853348 and sound detection and a voip callout. Have been saying this for a couple of years. It will be a complete security system.
@reolink-oskar that's good. Keep updating the others nvr and clients.
@boomish_893913578897601 Submit your request to support on support @ reolink . ComSo far only android/windows/Ios and Mac. We are asking for Linux client too.
@user_811568924922088_811568924922088 Apart from reset and start all over you have two more options.1. Change the ssid and password of the new router to be the same as the old ones.2. From your smartphone change the ssid and password of the hotspot to be like the old ones. Then from a pc access the doorbell camera and change the wifi network to the new one.
@user_798430758453403_798430758453403 If this cannot be retrieved from the router then it is difficult. Use the arp -a and get the IP and mac address of camera. Would you see it under the 2.4G and 5G on the router side? I took note of your request and have asked support to pass it to the sw dev team. I am not using WIFI 6 as otherwise I would certainly have checked it out. With 6e we have 6G band but again the higher the frequency the lower the wavelength and thence less penetration. So we need more WIFI 6e APs.
@ebaruk_673045617504343 You need to ask Reolink. Perhaps email them on support @ reolink . com. I have no knowledge of Reolink's plan. I am a customer like you providing support based on my skills.
@grod777_275772032561320 I guess you have disabled the Recording Folder Size. I have seen customers on Reddit and even here that the Client has memory leaks. Seems that memory is allocated with malloc() and not freed up. When this happens again use the task manager to see the memory size being used by the client.
@user_798430758453403_798430758453403 Take note of the IP or the MAC address of the camera. Then log onto the router and check which devices are connected to 2.4G, 5G and WIFI 6.Have a look at https://reolink.com/blog/how-do-i-know-if-i-have-wifi-6/?srsltid=AfmBOorrdCk-sbME3bclkjRrupl6w4XsmTtvyfc-Ens9h24bLNi5u5CqAs long as you have a good WIFI signal at the camera location, you don't differentiate between WIFI 5 and WIFI 6 as the camera only requires a bandwidth of around 12Mbps. The assumption is that there aren't a lot of devices on 5G requiring high bandwidth. It's here where you will see the difference.To check the signal strength at the camera, install WIFI Analyser from Playstore on your smartphone. The ideal WIFI signal strength is between -55 dBm and -70 dBm, depending how close or far away from the router/access point you happen to be. -30dBm is par Excellence. The max you can achieve.

@user_829609175638167_829609175638167 they are connected to the NVR WIFI and the settings you are showing belong to the NVR. Can you connect to the NVR WIFI and add the camera using its UID? If you can do this then you will have access to the camera configuration. I know that on the Home Hub you cannot access the camera directly. You need to delete it and add it to the application. And to have access to the individual cameras, they are connected to a switch rather than to the NVR directly.
