@jimbrown-net I just confirmed that it has been removed in the v4.45. You need to report it to support. I am a customer like you and have no access to any doc/personnel within Reolink. If I need a clarification or some information I email support.
@user_828842269491421_828842269491421 Yes, you can mix battery operated, dc powered and POE cameras. They can be individually controlled through their Android/IoS and Windows/Mac clients or through a Reolink NVR. You may also opt to have a Home Assistance, Blue Iris, etc instead of the NVR but you need to have a good knowledge to integrate them. Note that battery cameras cannot be controlled by Reolink NVR or any other 3rd party HA. They can only be viewed and managed through their clients. However, in a short time, they shall make available a WIFI hub which shall enable users to control the battery operated cameras. In case of battery operated cams, detection is based on PIR which has a max range of 10m. And there is no pre-recording before the detection is triggered. Conversely, the DC powered cams constantly scan the view and if a person, vehicle or pet is detected (using pixels changes), a 10s pre-recording is available in the recorded clip. This is because the camera is constantly recording and caching for 10s. These cameras have longer detection range say up to 30m and have the possibility to ftp the recorded clip to an ftp server. FTP is not available on battery operated camera. Each camera can have a micro SD and most of the cameras accept a 256GB. It is recommended to use high endurance SD. I do not own an NVR but most of my cameras are dc powered WIFI cameras and apart from storing the video on the SD I ftp it to my ftp server in another location. So first choice should be POE cams, then dc powered WIFI cams followed by battery operated cams. If you need a comparison of the various cams, I suggest you to go to Reddit Reolink and go through the Excel workbook compiled by the moderator.
@user_828616743243981_828616743243981 Try to disable UID. Normally there is no need of Internet connectivity. Only for setting battery cams, Internet is required and then access can be restricted.
@melroy_407434866106558 Check that you have https enabled on the camera using the Windows client.
@jimbrown-net You're right. Please submit the photos in an email to support on support(@)reolink(dot)com so they fix it.
@user_828766971498649_828766971498649 Have you set your timezone under Date time menu?
@tvdaisj_473530281275607 Uh you use time lapse..... Nevertheless, I suggest you to email support on your issue on support(@)reolink(dot)com. Maybe they are aware of.
@user_828699840401634_828699840401634 Upgrade the fw to v3.1.0.3398_2404031840 from their download center and you will see the improvements. Use the Windows client to upgrade the fw.
@user_828616743243981_828616743243981 There isn't any schedule for that. This is merely dependent on the settings of the sensor in
@big_ted Thanks for sharing. That's good for satellite Internet. Any jitter and ping timings?
@big_ted Thanks.
@user_819267408945310_819267408945310 I presume you have installed a micro SD. Go to record and then to schedule and enable person, vehicle and pet. Untag 'others' as you will have recording for every movement including branches swaying.Then go to push or email notification and again click on schedule and enable person, vehicle and pet. Note also that detection for battery operated cams is based on PIR (to maximise battery life) which has a max range of 10m depending on whether the object is crossing or approaching the PIR. See pattern diagram below.Don't worry about technicalities. I will avoid the depth of technicalities. Those I leave it to the university students :). But nothing is complex in life other than our cerebellum. The information on the Internet is massive something which you had never dreamt when you were young. And thanks to this information they are building AI.
@user_653336829771814_653336829771814 I think you have a defective micro SD. Can you swap it with a high endurance one and check again?
@user_828025657151697_828025657151697 And did you manage to ftp files?
@big_ted Indeed. Software has no limitation other than one's imagination. Just dream it and implement it. That's what I did when I was a software developer in C++/Assembly.There was a member who asked you for the download/upload speed (plus ping and jitter if possible) on your StarLink connection in Australia. Maybe he lives there too :). Do you experience any delays?
@guido Good to hear that.
@guido check this https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/comments/1bsfqml/doorbell_firmware_update_separate_notification/Different tone for alarm and visitor.
@guido To get different ringtone when a person is detected and a visitor pressing the button you need to have the most recent fw and client.
@user_828025657151697_828025657151697 in remote directory...enter /cameraIn order to see what's wrong I suggest you to capture a wireshark trace on the egress of your router. Then filter trace on ftp. Is there any logs on the cloud side? Despite you set ftp, the camera still requets to upgrade to tls and maybe this cause an issue at the remote side.
@seidenschnur_225356409180394 condensation inside. Did you change location? Leave it for two days and check whether it will go.
