@tomsreolink I don't recall. Currently with fw updates they are disabling even the RTSP/HTTPS/HTTP etc.

@s-stoessler_71959255531 You're welcome. I am quite proficient in both the packet and circuit mobile core networks. It is fun troubleshooting issues on the mobile RAN and Core networks. Is the revolving restaurant on the BT tower in London still open? I had my lunches there when I had meetings with BT engineers.In old 4G cam models, customers were asked to create a file with the apn deatils. So with the new mobile module and fw, this is being added in a similar way this is performed by the smartphones. About time...we are in 2024 :).
@jimbrown-net Well I am a programmer too and if it is dark..........then it should be dark all over. Sometimes I don't understand their way of thinking. Today I have reported an issue on the running time for battery operated cam whereby the counter value is no longer being collected by the P2P servers. The customer care emailed me asking me for appl version and camera fw version. I told her forward to senior support to fix it but again another email. They follow a procedure......

@don-gato_805086213865620 No need for your laptop. All you need someone with his/her notebook connected to your home network and grant you access to it. You download and install the windows client on his/her notebook and run it. It will automatically detect the NVR.
@don-gato_805086213865620 You didn't conduct all the necessary tests. So the smartphone was connected to the home WIFI when you connected to the NVR and so there is no need of the UID. UID is needed for remote access. What you need is someone with a PC having Reolink client installed and connected to your home network. Then run Quick Assist on both PC and ask the other one to grant you full access. The client will detect the NVR and use your credential to log on. Then enable UID. @user_690764225642642_690764225642642 Unfortunately the schedule under shortcuts hasn't yet been implemented. Last year we have asked for it in a survey and so far we didn't see it implemented. Maybe for them this is not of a high priority.
@wink06_538276622565597 Can you restore it? By restoring all the settings take their default value with the exception of the WIFI settings.
@don-gato_805086213865620 Did you enable the UID? Did you connect the cameras directly to the nvr or through a switch? My recommendation is through a managed switch. This enables you to access the cameras via the nvr and directly. Moreover we even install a micro sd whereby triggered events are stored on the SD and the 24x7 recordings onto the nvr.
@wink06_538276622565597 Recall that the PIR detects the Infra-red emitted by the object and detection is immediate if object crosses the PIR rather than approaching it. If the ambient temperature increases then the object has to be nearer to trigger the PIR.
@user_828408434729184_828408434729184 From Android client you can create two shortcuts, one to stop recording and alerting and the other to re-enable them. However, one has to recall to re-activate when he/she leaves the premises. We have asked for geofencing so that such an activity is done automatically. In the absence of geofencing, we have asked for a schedule in shortcuts but so far this has not been implemented. Still waiting.
