@user_805642254631123_805642254631123 I don't use Alexa and can't help on this. However, at Reddit Reolink you will definitely find customers using them on Alexa and will help you. Post your request there.
@user_676976072548514_676976072548514 That's over exposed. Check if there is direct sun directly or reflections. Try to orientate it better.
@aliusv4_363227376926884 You can't. They are considered as independent.I would buy a poe switch(es) and connect all the cameras to this switch. Then connect its lan port to the router. You can connect the nvr to the poe switch or the router. In this set up you have direct access to the cameras too. More flexible.
@user_667927674433573_667927674433573 Take it up with support on support(@)reolink(dot)com
@reolinkshayla That's really good news. Thanks for the update.
@annratcliffe4_501846706299063 Any data SIM should be fine as long as you add the apn. As a test you can insert your smartphone SIM (nano).Check out this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900006968183-How-to-import-APN-information-to-Reolink-Go-PT/Make sure you type it correctly with no spaces as some operators will reject the IMSI attach from the MME side. Others take a default one even you type it incorrectly.
@user_sts98683_809096377618648 Try to measure the strength of the WIFI at the camera position. Install WIFI analyser from playstore on your smartphone. Alternatively get the camera nearer to the WIFI router and check it out.Do you record on SDs/NVR/FTP server?
@user_809291860783353_809291860783353 According to their website there is no indication of implementation for POE and dc powered cameras You may contact support on support(@)reolink(dot)com
@user_809231795302652_809231795302652 So far there is no feature which allows you to delete files longer than x days on the SD. Therefore I suggest you to calculate the average daily recording capacity and then purchase an SD with the nearest capacity.Note deletion after x days is available on the NVR.
@saftek_706413467136234 Would you be able to capture a trace and check?
@phirephoto_633457091563556 170ms being on the same network is a bit high. Can you check whether you have any channel congestion? Install WIFI analyser on your smartphone and check it out. You may try to change the channel from the WIFI router. Maybe there are retransmissions.
@user_808883345707171_808883345707171 With DirectX?
@user_808883345707171_808883345707171 It must be the graphic driver. What driver do you have? Try to install DirectX redist package. It won't do any harm and it will install old DirectX dlls.
@user_808883345707171_808883345707171 Go to Win client menu and disable HW acceleration. Are you on v8.15.6?
@phirephoto_633457091563556 As a test, try to change the transport mode from auto to port. Do you have any motion (or Other) enabled? As for the fw, you need to go to their Download Center. The auto/manual update on the camera doesn't work.
@saftek_706413467136234 Reolink cameras only work with ipv4. You need to switch off ipv6.
@gbee_140374135459980 I suggest you to submit your request to their support at support(@)reolink(dot)com. The reason I can see is to avoid customers loading old configuration which is not compatible with the new firmware. Not all customers perform updates and so it could be that since there version there had been a number of fw releases. If the cameras are installed outdoor, then all cables have to be well protected. If moisture gets in the reset button, the camera performs cyclic reloads. I use weatherproof junction box and wraps the ends with amalgamated tape. And yes we have even told them to keep synchronicity and consistency wherever possible amongst the clients.
@user_807191472234693_807191472234693 Note that the upload speed on your ftp server is measured in BYTES per second....so to get bps we need to multiply by 8. But it is still low and as your tests showed the camera cannot handle such an upload within short intervals. I suggest you to take it up with support on support(@)reolink(dot)com What is the file size?
@reolinkshayla They are all excellent products. I have one question though. Do the new E1 ODs have the same gear mechanism as the previous models? Thanks.Update: support told me that they have different gearing mechanism and hopefully the problem of deviation is something of the past.
@dgordon42_415060065599711 I didn't hear anything from support. They should move away from the push notification and base their design on SIP(S) + SRTP or XMPP + SRTP (used by Whatsapp) as has been implemented by other camera suppliers. Of course this design requires SIP servers which entails the client and cam to be registered. SIP is fun...........have been working on this protocol (and many many other protocols) for a long time. In security one of the most important factor is contacting the owner. We receive lots of push notifications, messages, alerts on our mobile and we tend to ignore. But if it is a call, we do check who is calling. So they can add a feature for the cam to call in the event a particular event is triggered, say glass sound, alarm sound, etc. The ideas depend on one's immagination.
