@md UID is assigned during the manufacturing process. This is like the MAC address of the Ethernet interface. I have posted an article I wrote about the usage of UID. Thanks for helping members.

@user_760899788079304_760899788079304 There is v8.14.2. Try it. I have upgraded mine and the missing icons bar and better video quality at Clear mode seem to have been resolved.

@reuven-goldenberg_36887769641 Nobody is anxious to upgrade. I am running v8.14.1. Issue is the poor video quality of their player at Clear mode. But why they don't state what has been fixed, improved, added or removed. Just bugs fixed.

Never have the username and password the same. Have a strong password. If someone gets your UID he can easily access your camera.
