@ben-l_363180304232580 If you connect the camera directly to the NVR, the camera doesn't need to be initialized. And you can't connect the camera to the APP as a standalone camera in this situation. If you connect the camera as a standalone camera to the APP, it needs to be initialized and set up with a new password.If you want to connect it to the NVR and make it a standalone camera in the APP, there are two methods.(1) Scan the UID of the NVR and connect the NVR to the APP. Then you will see the cameras under the NVR in the APP.How to find the UID: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900005185523-How-to-Find-the-UID-of-Your-Device(2) Connect the camera to a PoE switch, which is under the same router of the NVR. Then you can connect the camera to the NVR and make it a standalone camera in the APP.

You may need to upgrade your Client to v8.7.x first. You can search some info here, https://reolink.com/sitesearch/.For the alarm settings, it means the different kinds of alerts like siren, buzzer, push, email, FTP etc.For the buzzer, it is the beeping sound from the NVR.For the siren, it is the sound alarm on the camera.If you change the setting in APP/Client, it will change synchronously on other platforms.For the push issue, you can try to submit a request here, Submit a request – Reolink Support.
