Hi Reolinkers,Today we have the v8.8.0 Beta Client test! Are you ready for it? Let's see who will be the bug hunter! You can download the Client v.8.8.0 installation package via the link:Windows: https://bit.ly/3aaO5xEMAC: https://bit.ly/3IbwKB0
1. Added Time-Lapse function on the live view pageTime-lapse function is requested by a lot of users. Now it is finally available! It is convenient to create and download the large time-lapse file on the Client. 2. Added “Hardware decoding first” on the Client settingsThere are two decoding methods, including hardware decoding and software decoding in simple terms.GPU performs hardware decoding. Using GPU decoding can reduce CPU workload and power consumption. The CPU performs software decoding. It will increase the CPU workload and increase power consumption. So the hardware decoding button is defaulted on, and we will use the hardware decoding first. But some users may meet the compatibility issue between the GPU and the Client, which causes a black screen. If you meet the problem of a black screen, you can try to disable the “hardware decoding first.” If you encounter the freeze issue, you can also disable this button, but this requires a more powerful CPU to operate.3. Added “Battery Cameras Power-Saving Mode” on the Client settingsIf you enable this mode, the battery camera will automatically disconnect after 5mins without operation. This can save battery power. Continuous streaming will drain the battery fast. But if you want continuous streaming for a period of time, you can disable the Battery Cameras Power-Saving Mode. 4. Added thumbnail display on the preset point, guard point, and patrol points settings(Available with the next new firmware.)We add the thumbnail display on the settings to better locate the preset point, guard point and patrol points.5. Added “Forgot your password?” prompt on the login pageWhat if I forgot the password? You can click the “Forgot your password” on the login page, and then it will guide you on how to do to reset the password.6. Added the permissions of the audio alarm and spotlight settings for user accounts7. New products adaption
1. Optimized user interaction and feature icons on preview and playback.2. Optimized firmware upgrade strategy to shorten the time spent on the upgrade.3. The configuration of the auto-tracking type will be saved and restored the next time you enable the auto-tracking under the alarm setting. 4. You can also enter our community via the About page now!
1. Fixed the problem of the plus and minus signs for zoom not working in the PTZ window.2. Fixed other bugs.
Not getting thumbnails on my RLC-823a camera for the preset points, patrol points.
8.8.0 is still randomly freezing the live camera views. This is the 3rd update in a row that hasn't fixed the issue. 8.5.2 is the latest version that still works as intended. This is getting old...
Nice! I'm Jane. I personally really appreciate your article. This is a great website. I will make sure that I stop back again. These are some really great tips!
Deleting a completed time lapse video on the Window Client:On the Time Lapse window, the deletion of a completed video will remove it from the window, but it does not delete it off the SD card. If you close the Time Lapse window and reopen it again the video shows up and is still there. Is there a way to delete a time lapse video off the SD card.

So far so good, I approve...PS... One question, I guess we don't get time laspe if we have a NVR? Is that why I never see the feature?
Installing v8.8 has resolved my black screen issue. Time lapse not being displayed though. Maybe the model, RLN8-410
Timelapse download constantly crashes, then i need to press retry, after that the connection drops and i have to wait until it connects again. This also happens in the android app.The connection is not the problem, i can stream in HQ without issues for a long time, only downloading time lapse is an issue.Any ideas?
olá, esta versão não está a funcionar bem na transmissão em direto, em qualidade alta, bloqueia muito... tenho windows 11, com i7 860, nvidia 1060 3gb. já desativei hardware decoding e não resultou. camera rlc 510wa. obrigado
@Reolink-Fiona downloaded client 8.8.0 and in my e1 zoom I have loaded firmware 3.0.0.1107, let´s see how it goes.
@Reolink-Fiona testing client 8.8.0, one improvement could be hiding the buttons of zoom, snap, record, etc. if the mouse don´t move for example in 3 seconds. Other improvement could be setting the image quality from the general settings. I am testing all and I have no problems yet.
I've been downloading many videos daily, mainly without problems. But, I've had four or five occasions where the beta client freezes during the download. When it freezes, the progress bar shows usually shows the download at around 50% completed. The odd thing is that the client has completely finished downloading the video and it is fully viewable. Its just that the client will not start downloading the next video. Its as if during the download that Windows and the client have lost contact with each other.I always need to close the client and start downloading all over.
I noticed that it mentions time-lapse functionality does NOT apply if you use an NVR. That blows.
@Reolink-Fiona I just installed the 8.8.0 beta to download the time lapse recording from the SD card.Unfortunately, it does not work with it either. It comes the error / note: Loading failed. In the Android app, the recording is displayed with 12 GB, but the download also fails. My Cam is a Argus 3 Pro with Firmware 3.0.0.819_22012700How can I save the time-lapse recording. I would like to be able to view them. Are there any other tools I can use to download the recording from the SD card?
Even this latest version has not resolved the inability to access the Detection Alarm settings for the RLC810A.If the camera (810A) has the latest firmware it will not show any information. However if one of the RLC810A cameras is of an older firmware it will show and you can adjust the settings as required (mask). "Loading Failed" is all that shows with the latest firmware on a camera (see image).
Crop-zoom only uses low quality video even if viewing mode is set to clear/high resolutionIf I zoom with the mouse wheel the video is zoomed in clear/high resolution.
HelloI just install this version, and it's better for me.I have 15 cameras and now all the channels are near to be fluid on my I5 Laptop under Windows 10.And my desktop respond better. Before all the system was slowed. At this time CPU is used at 22% and the GPU 23% tooGood job !Alain
An Option for Timelaps - Select all for download would be great !
