@big_ted I wrote to senior support and so far no action has been taken. All their websites, documentation and APIs have to be constantly updated and available to their customers. This will definitely offload emails from support. For instance every 2 to 3 months I ask for any newer firmware for each model. They need to act quickly and efficiently in every aspect.

This is widely used in Telcoms networks to synchronise various networks in particular those still using the SDH as interconnection. If I recall correctly this is specified in ITU-T standard G811. Once I have implemented a synchronisation network for an operator based on 2 Caesium clocks (Primary and secondary) as stratum 1. But in case of the camera they use the NTP protocol to get the time.

@rainman If you want to have full access to the files then remove the SD from the camera and insert it in the SD slot of the computer. Otherwise you have read permission from the clients.

Once I did get into details and maybe you can do a search in the community articles. As to enhance security, have a strong password and change it say every 2 months and if you have fw then implement some rules.

@rainman Through CGI you can only obtain the SD capacity but no more. There is no access to Linux. To know what's stored on SD just insert it in your SD slot of the PC. You just see files. No folders.

@andrewadventure_658285543473233 I had an issue whereby one barely hears me at the doorbell but I heard him normally at the mobile side. Reolink gave me a firmware upgrade and in the Android client they added the speaker volume control.

@reolink-fiona I am aware of this. We need a list so we can check who has accessed the camera. And it should be read only abd cannot be modified or deleted not even by the admin.

@rainman Can you list what configuration you have changed from the default value? Can you leave out the detection zone and try again? Just to identity what is causing the issue. Moreover please check that you have the most recent firmware. You can check it in Reolink download center.

@kristof I asked them to restrict the users from the account by observing the various phrases used. Spammer is using different IPs and so it is not easy to block based on IP. But prefer to answer a query rather than having to block these idiots.

And I am busy with mega projects. I log during my breaks to divert my mind on something else :).
