@user_811736275218677_811736275218677 We have asked Reolink to provide this and status for the widget feature.
@robertklep_679384755609789 Email support and they will assist you.
@user_704522064679100_704522064679100 Restoring/Resetting the camera will set the parameters to their default factory values with the exception of the WIFI settings. This is done purposely as otherwise you will have to bring down the camera and connect it to the router and set up the WIFI configuration..
@user_805124439601351_805124439601351 oh yes...similar to TAPO from tp link. Please submit your request to support. The more requests they get the higher the probability of being implemented. I will email them.
@user_750102319055027_750102319055027 Exactly, what does matter is sensor size. A 16 MP compact isn't ever going to be as good as a 12 MP Full Frame DSLR. The size of sensor that a camera has ultimately determines how much light it uses to create an image. Therefore, it stands to reason that a bigger sensor can gain more information than a smaller one and produce better images.So larger sensors can help capture better quality images, but they bring with them a number of other characteristics, some good and some bad. The first, and most obvious impact of a bigger camera sensor is that of size; not only will the sensor take up more room in the device, but it will also need a bigger lens to cast an image over it. The cost of producing bigger sensors also means that devices packing them also have a bigger price-tag. Bigger sensors can also be better for isolating a subject in focus while having the rest of the image blurred.

Video analytics process video in real-time and transform it into intelligent data. They automatically generate descriptions of what is happening in the video and are used to detect and track objects which also could be categorized as persons, vehicles, pets and other objects in the video stream. Video analytics turn simple IP video into business intelligence. We can use the camera to identify a License Number Plate and the car model and used it to open a gate (normally done through RFID). Other examples are shelf occupancy sending an alarm when the number items is below a threshold, parking lot monitoring citing the empty spaces available, face and gender recognition, crowd detection, congestion detection and many myriad of other analytics. Video analytics requires volume of data to be very accurate together with powerful processing power. Some camera suppliers are building their AI technology on cloud platforms thinking ahead of the future requirements. Is Reolink thinking about this business intelligence?
@kyra_lan Thanks a lot. People who are crazy enough to think they can change the world in security, are the ones who do. So do it Reolink.
@railfan-arizona_485965826351268 That means that they have improved the network connectivity protocol when establishing communication with the camera. Maybe this is the outcome of complaints raised by customers. Normally Reolink recommends to opt for resetting the configuration after an upgrade. This may be due to the fact that some upgrades may include new parameters or may create conflicts with the existing settings. However, if you really need more details then I suggest you to email Reolink support.
@user_736903663919286_736903663919286 We have requested this to Reolink. This is only available for the standalone floodlight.
@s-stoessler_71959255531 Email them.
@kristof This should be through a parameter setting and not a customized firmware. So no more updates or else you need to ask them again to change the firmware. I am against customization.
@vigy_591093180735512 Reolink dev team has to implement. I know how to implement and code it but I am a customer.So I suggest you to submit your request to support like what I normally do.
@big_ted Normally the auto update has rarely been activated unless they push the upgrade to the appropriate repository for auto download.
@neoxen_689456600318178 Correct.
@jk1211_705377705345248 What can I say. I am a customer like you and wish that they give more considerations to the customers requests. Their HW is quite good but the sw needs improvements. We are missing a lot of features. You may request again support on support @ reolink . com
Wishing you all the love and happiness that only Easter can bring. Have a joyous celebration with your family! Enjoy each day and what you need to do, do it today.
@gohigher_705217548042448 If you have a WIFI BB router then I suggest you to try to connect the smartphone to the same WIFI of the camera and check it out.
@mrspock75_889662031028381 Why don't you ask your mobile operator to forward the sms to your other MSISDN. Some operators offer sms to email conversion. So apart from the sms you receive an email.I suggest you to submit your request to support on support @ reolink . Com
@reolinkshayla Only customers within the US and CA can call free this freephone number. Anyone else will incur charges as Telcos will consider this as an international call. Therefore you may opt to have a UIFN which shall be free from all countries or else let callers use whatsapp or a similar platform.
