@ivar_360945041924304 I already furnished most of these to Reolink support. In my opinion their next features should be facial recognition, more optical zooming, more automation, rich notification, more security at camera side and more processing power to enhance performance.
@antonio089_626720538640449 if you have no electricity then your option is to have 4G cameras charged through a solar panel as suggested by Steve. And ensure that you have local recording (on SD) as well as in the cloud just in case the cameras are stolen. There is the GO PT plus and Duo 2 LTE.Have a look at https://m.reolink.com/product/reolink-go-pt-plus/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9IrI8YnQgAMVhdzVCh32FQTWEAAYASAAEgIYdPD_BwEEnsure you have a strong 4G coverage as HSPA bandwidth (3G data) is not enough.
@qualitystreet360_438079762100362 I don't owe any NVR. I record on SDs and transfer the files to an ftp server. You need a DC current clamp meter. I suggest you to email Reolink support and ask them.
@reolink-fiona Would say that with the TrackMix models Reolink has continued to churn out truly innovative security camera products customers have been waiting for. Thumb Up Reolink.
@boss06518_449790654218427 Just have a search for '12V 4A with 2 way splitter' and you will find at Amazon.
@leeawhite_475558898094213 I am not aware of the v8.12. Has this been provided by support?
@md It depends. If it is a 9 inch wall then you definitely need the junction box which costs less than 8 bucks. Being a senior engineer I do read most manuals before I start the job.
@user_727993210269845_727993210269845 Well RTSP entails for a constant stream and so producing one from a wireless camera requires the feed 24/7. The solar panel don't produce enough power to run a continuously transmitting camera. But even though the solar panel did produce enough power to run during the day, then you need a high capacity battery to having run during the night. And this comes at a cost.
@abruemmer_294883353338065 Which one you want? Perhaps this one https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.11.0.exe
@big_ted But why user has to check? Clients, cameras and NVRs should regularly check for updates and report to the Admin. This is already being implemented by other camera suppliers. For instance when you run an application it will check for updates and if there is a newer version, it will prompt you that there is a new version. Similarly there is a scheduler which triggers a camera to reboot........they can add the request here or included every time the cam is rebooted. This should send a push message notification or email to the user. But of course Reolink servers should be dimensioned to handle this and the download traffic.
@user_692258092847314_692258092847314 You may hide it in a small plastic junction box near the solar panel.
@ecri_153017360044193 The programmers programming the Windows client used old DirectX9 libraries and this has caused issues with video. I did mention this in my replies to members.
@user_647233810104382_647233810104382 You can use the scene mode to achieve this. Follow this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026049414-What-is-Scene-Mode-and-How-to-Set-the-Scene-Mode-for-Your-Cameras-on-Reolink-App
@ergomanservices_704492722979564 You need webhook or a simple http request or matter but none of these are available on Reolink cameras. So what can you do? You can enable email on detection with the email address being the Pushover account and then instructs pushover to send notifications. You can also enable ftp and when the file is received then you can write an application to send a notification.
@reolinkshayla Excellent. We forward ideas and exert pressure because we want Reolink to be the best and the first choice for customers opting to install cameras in their home and business premises. Kindly provide a link to download the appl before it will be available in the respective region. Note that 'Animal' in point 3 has been wrongly written to 'Aniaml'. Please correct. Thanks a lot and keep it up.
@alvaro2 Many customers are awaiting the roadmap of their products for 2023. Hopefully we will see it soon.
@ergomanservices_704492722979564 Depends on the features available on the security system you have? RLN16 (NVR) has no external I/P and O/P triggers. These are only available on the RLN36. Check methods of interfacing on your security system.
@crimp-on_62210811129 It is still in beta version and needs a lot of work. It doesn't work in playback mode and not all AI cams are covered. And I have already told Reolink support that this should have been implemented at source and not at application level. For instance a 30 bucks Wyze camera can do this locally as it should be. Notwithstanding their implementation will create inconsistency. My personal opinion as a customer.
@alvaro2 The megapixel count is not the end of the story. The only thing more megapixels will give you is the ability to enlarge and crop pictures without individual pixels becoming visible. A better lens will always produce better images regardless of the megapixel count.
@manrot_376517035909361 Just go to the specs of the camera and check the protocols supported. For Browsers you need http/https.From the specs of E1 Pro at https://reolink.com/product/e1-pro/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw06-oBhC6ARIsAGuzdw1fuopOB8JLDefR6Yz2uFPrf_PEWNyI5fd_MNrzfsm3tezzdzxnUEUaAo5rEALw_wcB#specificationswe see that http/https are not supported.
