@egmontr_304656000733347 Kindly submit your request to Reolink support on https://support.reolink.com/requests/ . Shortly Reolink shall update the client to have a different ring tone if the doorbell button is pressed. However, we, as customers, are requesting Reolink to call the smartphone as is being done by competitors. We receive lots of push notifications for a myriad of appls and so we need to have an incoming call on our smartphone when the doorbell button is pressed. Their proposal as an interim is fine but we need a SIP call.
@crimp-on_62210811129 I cannot reproduce your screen blinking issue when zooming in/out using the mouse wheel. I tried on Fluent, Balance and Clear. I am running 8.10.4 on Win 10 64bit. Tomorrow I will check my other notebook running Win11.
@antonio089_626720538640449 if you have no electricity then your option is to have 4G cameras charged through a solar panel as suggested by Steve. And ensure that you have local recording (on SD) as well as in the cloud just in case the cameras are stolen. There is the GO PT plus and Duo 2 LTE.Have a look at https://m.reolink.com/product/reolink-go-pt-plus/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9IrI8YnQgAMVhdzVCh32FQTWEAAYASAAEgIYdPD_BwEEnsure you have a strong 4G coverage as HSPA bandwidth (3G data) is not enough.
@user_901203979997352_901203979997352 we have requested that festure. I read that during this year they will add IFTTT.
@crimp-on_62210811129 I conducted the tests on Argus 3 Pro and DUO 2 at clear resolution and full screen on both Win 10 and 11 and couldn't reproduce the black screens. And I did scroll the mouse wheel as fast as I can. Do you have other applications running in parallel with the client? Do you have adequate video RAM? Can you check whether there are services which have higher priority which are causing interrupts? Can you set the priority of the client to high and check? On a different note but the subject being the 8.10.4, the stream mode setting is being ignored when set from a network outside the LAN on which the cameras are installed. So you set the stream mode as CLEAR on the live and move to the Playback tab..........without selecting any clip and you go back to the previous live window of same camera, the stream mode takes again the default setting which is FLUENT. I checked this on a number of cameras and got the same behaviour. However, if I repeat the same procedure with the notebook connected to the same LAN as the camera then the stream mode settings are correctly set and retrieved (the client use the private IPs of the cameras to communicate). Maybe Reolink introduced this so as to minimise the time it takes to display the live stream. I started to experience this since 8.10.2. I did report this and have been told that this is a design. But I am still pushing for this to change.
@boss06518_449790654218427 Just have a search for '12V 4A with 2 way splitter' and you will find at Amazon.
@chopstix That's the design now.... it works as designed... their usual answer. I had similar issues with big suppliers and then I withheld support payments.
@jfbaro_664228245382261 AV1 could be the future of codecs, but older codecs like H.254 and H.256 have their merits as they offer better compatibility and lower encoding time on current hardware.
@user_727993210269845_727993210269845 Well RTSP entails for a constant stream and so producing one from a wireless camera requires the feed 24/7. The solar panel don't produce enough power to run a continuously transmitting camera. But even though the solar panel did produce enough power to run during the day, then you need a high capacity battery to having run during the night. And this comes at a cost.
@user_777824613310594_777824613310594 Submit your request to support. The more requests they get the more we see it implemented.
@user_702445053329578_702445053329578 Issue can be the ISP bandwidth or the Radio Acceess network bandwidth (mobile which i do not think unless you are on 4G). I think the issue is your upload speed of 24Mbps. That's too low. 8MP camera may peak at 18Mbps. Recall that from camera side the upload bandwidth is important and from your smartphone the download speed. When you have the issue try to measure the UL speed either from pc or smartphone connected to your home network.
@user_692258092847314_692258092847314 You may hide it in a small plastic junction box near the solar panel.
@chopstix Using our time to assist wherever possible. We use our experience and engineering skills.
@t-saint_696989900566706 If there is no activity within 10s the camera returns to its guard point position. However, this is readily available on the Trackmix models through two parameters, namely, object stops and object disappears timers. Please email support and see if they can apply it on your model.
@ergomanservices_704492722979564 You need webhook or a simple http request or matter but none of these are available on Reolink cameras. So what can you do? You can enable email on detection with the email address being the Pushover account and then instructs pushover to send notifications. You can also enable ftp and when the file is received then you can write an application to send a notification.
@ed_758691584823482 We have requested this for some time. Please submit your request on https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@davidandrewpowell81_526149738635440 I suggest you to roll back to 8.8.5 on the other pc and wait till they fix it. You are not the only one to encounter this issue. I cannot reproduce and so cannot delve through. I saw some have drag the camera out of the liveview. Others have deleted and added cams. In my opinion when upgrading to 64 bit client they should have done a clean up of the installed client and its data and then proceed with the fresh installation. The 64 bit client is using the same data of the 32 bit client.
@ergomanservices_704492722979564 Depends on the features available on the security system you have? RLN16 (NVR) has no external I/P and O/P triggers. These are only available on the RLN36. Check methods of interfacing on your security system.
@ss4sgoku_239593250332868 I can understand you. I did ask for VOIP callouts and to be fully compliant to Profile T (two way audio). I forward lots of ideas and suggestions. It's their strategy of what to implement and prioritised. Having a push notification instead you will surely miss it. Hope they will prioritise it.
@strangerjona_704168632094884 Last year I did ask for sound detection but seems not yet on their priority list.It seems that the priority list is based on customers request to support. So please send your request on support(at)reolink(dot)com Replace (at) by @ and(dot) by . Sometimes the site restricts us from adding ULR.
