@chopstix Using our time to assist wherever possible. We use our experience and engineering skills.
@iulian-tatarcan_132045030453418 I did ask Reolink for this too. It should be transparent to customers. Didn't get any feedback.
@user_745241262715024_745241262715024 No need of any plug in on any of the browsers. Both the E1 Zoom and E1 Zoom AI have an ethernet port. Opt for the E1 Zoom AI.
@ed_758691584823482 We have requested this for some time. Please submit your request on https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@reolink-oskar Thanks Reolink Team for the products you have released during 2024 and for making our properties more safer than before at a moderate pricing. Appreciate that we provide constructive criticism with the objective to make you better every year. Hear your esteem customers what they have to say and what they suggest. Hoping that 2025 will be more successful and that the firmware and clients will be more stable. In addition we recommend you to perform more intensive testing and assign more resources to software development. It is also important to have synchronicity across all development teams.
@user_697868551373008_697868551373008 This is based on PIR which detects the Infrared emitted by the object and it is triggered when the object crosses adjacent slots. If you approach the PIR then it takes time to trigger the PIR until you come within 5 metres when the adjacent slots are nearer. So the best location is that the PIR direction is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the object. Note that PIR have a short range of max 10m with the sensitivity set to the highest value. And when the camera is IDLE only the PIR circuit is drawing current. When it is triggered it will start the application, start the recording, identifying the object tyoe and triggers the push notification/email. So it takes time. Sometimes as you stated the object is not shown in the video as it has already passed the FOV.Best option is to have dc powered cameras which are constantly recording and their detection is based on pixel changes. Here you will get recording before the cam was triggered.
@ss4sgoku_239593250332868 I can understand you. I did ask for VOIP callouts and to be fully compliant to Profile T (two way audio). I forward lots of ideas and suggestions. It's their strategy of what to implement and prioritised. Having a push notification instead you will surely miss it. Hope they will prioritise it.
@reolink-oskar It's nice but I still say that the vertical FOV of 55 degrees is rather low. In actual fact it may be less than this value. My personal opinion.I presume that the reset button is included on the camera and not part of the cables.
@user_697868551373008_697868551373008 You're welcome. So the best setup would be to have POE AI cameras connected to a POE switch and from the POE switch connect it to your ISP router. Then opt for an NVR and connect the NVR to the router too. Don't forget to read the specs and if you don't understand ask. Never be shy in this world.
@user_835186644893887_835186644893887 we already requested this. Kindly submit your request to support on support @ reolink . ComThe more requests they receive the higher the probability of being implemented.
@chopstix That means that we are reading what you write :). Joking. Sometimes I text while in a boring meeting which I don't chair and won't check my typing....
@input_343270296944801 This is old. There are newer firmware as can be seen in the unofficial site at https://[censored]/AT0myks/reolink-fw-archiveTo ensure you have the newest official firmware email Reolink support.
@kimchigun We are here to support them and provide feedback, ideas and suggestions. I do email them and provide constructive criticism. They own the product and they decide what to have and not to have. There are lots of things to improve and as you stated the hardware is quite good. What they need to improve is the software and customer care.
@kimchigun Let make some calculations.20,000mAh is 20 Ah. The battery capacity, volts times amp-hours, is about 3.6 x 20 = 72 Wh. The maximum input power is 5 x 1.2 = 6 W. Assuming a 10% power tolerance from the panel (regulator) the charge time in bright sunlight, continually facing the sun, would be 72/6/0.9 = 13.3 hours. However the charge might taper the charge current towards the end of charge so it would actually be longer than that....say 16 hours. Therefore we need a higher wattage solar panel .... at least a 12W panel which yields to 7 hours of bright sunlight.
@kodu-valvur_731575810646223 They stopped manufacturing Smart WIFI plugs. Only the floodlight is the IoT available from Reolink.
@kzn_889685160136894 Mostly they are either at Reddit or Facebook. At Reddit there are more requests which we do our most to support based on our experience and skills. Note that I am a customer like you.I have already forwarded similar features to support. I think more than a year ago. They should segregate recording and notification zones.
@chopstix I used to design, implement and carry out the acceptance testing of mobile networks :). I know to what you were referring to but as I explained an IMSI (i.e. Physical SIM) consists of 16 digits, the first 5-6 are the MCC and MNC . The MCC is the mobile country code which is 222 for Italy (like the Telephone country code +39) and MNC is the Mobile Network code, namely, the operator. eg 299 1mobile, 08 fast web, etc. So each operator will only authenticate the IMSI range assigned to him by the local Communication Authority. So to connect to different networks one needs to have different SIMs. Note that I am excluding MVNOs which are operators which use the mobile infrastructure of another operator. These MVNOs normally use different IMSI range. So to connect to two distinct mobile operators, you need two SIMs.The two way radio units you mentioned still use SIMs. These use packet data only. Most operators assigned these units M2M SIMs. Any device which connects to 4G networks requires a SIM. The only exception is when calling the emergency number in which case there is no IMSI authentication. Some people remove the IMSI and make a prank call to the emergency service. They think that they cannot be traced. They are stupid as the operator has the IMEI of the phone through which the call has been made. Let see with what they come out.

@s-lerouzes_46498539735 As a customer too, I do agree with your proposals.
@chopstix It couldn't be a local eSIM as local mobile operators won't allow it. So it has to be an operator who has roaming agreement with all mobile operators. Then the MCC + MNC of the IMSI will be mapped to a Global Title and MAP messages forwarded to the serving operator. Charging will be handled by this operator. Note that in the description it is stated that the SIM is included. So we are there.... similar to the P2P servers provided by AWS.
