@bill_645930933579892 They are a reputable brand producing good quality cameras at an affordable price. As md suggested, there are myriads of you tube videos produced by independent people which give details of their cameras and applications. Emails are replied within 24 hours during weekdays. I had numerous correspondents with their support and would say they were always helpful.
@sicherheitstechniker_268838991474823 Perhaps Fiona can provide the dates. To the best of my knowledge Reolink IFTTT is limited to floodlight and smart plug. But if you have an NVR you can extend it to cameras
@g2m-advisors_537747045552377 I already forwarded this suggestion. The only reason I can see is that FTPS is easier to implement. SFTP offers better usability with firewalls as it uses one port while FTPS uses multiple ports. Have been working with lot of equipment from different suppliers and never used the FTPS.Hopefully one day we shall see SFTP on both cameras and NVRs.
@bill_509018094649486 The downloaded file is zipped. You need to unzip it to get the pak file.
@matttewell_629316336427583 When you restore the camera through the application all the parameters are set to their default values with the exception of networking. This is so as not to lose connectivity with the camera. Check that the camera has the most recent firmware and if not upgrade it. Did you contact Reolink support? A solution would be to upgrade the camera with the same firmware.....if there is no newer one and it is hard to perform a hard reset.
Which micro SD card are you using? I use the Samsung evo Plus 256G and never encountered any issue with file downloads. Please also check that there is no interference on the WIFI network and the signal at the camera is strong.
@user_606537083920509_606537083920509 HTTPS on Reolink cams still uses the self signed certificate. At least all my Reolink cams are like that.
@user_629911810629744_629911810629744 This is the way forward but if and when this shall be implemented by Reolink, then their R&D has to confirm.
@big_ted I warned you :). This should have been avoided. Testing should be greatly improved. I encounter this even with big Telco companies and then we have to go through the test acceptance again. Today's software reliability is far from when it used to be where resources was not an issue.
@reolinkfan123 Definitely. Keep it up.
@md that's a good improvement. I use self-amalgamated tape. This is used by Telco techs to seal underground cables.
@weatherman_624632364015684 You need to email Reolink support.
@justinlacy_660568210911282 Just install junction boxes where you wish to have the cameras and then connect the camera cable to the one you terminated in the junction box. The most important is that that the junction box is waterproof (> IP62). I normally install them nearly touching the camera though you can mount the camera on the junction box like the ones available at Reolink (D20 and B10).
@wgarigen_650802416795708 So far this is available for KEEN Ranger PT and Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi models and one has to have a cloud account. Reolink should work on this and provide this feature at least on all the new models.
@user_659735806574608_659735806574608 You're welcome. If I were you I will email Reolink support.
@crimp-on_62210811129 He mentioned Chrome and this is supported if his version is 107 or higher. Google have quietly added H.265 support.
@user_659735806574608_659735806574608 Yes, stratum 2 receives time from stratum 1 servers and then act as a server for stratum 3. This is widely used in Telcoms networks to synchronise various networks in particular those still using the SDH as interconnection. If I recall correctly this is specified in ITU-T standard G811. Once I have implemented a synchronisation network for an operator based on 2 Caesium clocks (Primary and secondary) as stratum 1. But in case of the camera they use the NTP protocol to get the time.
@user_659735806574608_659735806574608 Only the firmware developer can tell.
@user_591792059080827_591792059080827 Increase to 2s and sensitivity 40
@dverleysen_151162104025310 Ha ha......... In my opinion it is purely a bug. Please report it to Reolink support and tell them how to reproduce it. Don't forget to include the camera HW and firmware versions. This might be with a number of Reolink cameras.
