@user_614688609960018_614688609960018 You see :). If it is software it can be easily fixed. I have been through this.
@jedi2020_32727772450952 As stated this not available on the latest official Android client. Maybe it will be included in the next upgrade.
@alvaro2 Then that's fine. Thanks.
@reolink-fiona Can Reolink create a triggering service and customers can use an IFTTT app on their Android mobile? This service has already been made available by Arlo to its customers. It may also invoke a callout if certain triggers occur. Wonderful feature.
@crimp-on_62210811129 We need to wait until this is implemented if acceptable to Reolink.
@reolink-mcacc_515883554820236 tcpdump will tell you what's wrong. Capture a trace and forward it to Reolink support to analyze. Wireshark is fantastic and of course one needs to know the protocols. I deleted Linux from my machine and have no time to install and test it out. Most probably it will work.
@reolink-fiona So this means that the logic has to be implemented in every model. Other suppliers adopted this implementation at their end and this results in less time to deliver and minimal work required at the camera side. And the list of actions is endless.
@user_615408209375314_615408209375314 Did you check with support whether you have the latest firmware? Maybe this has been added in a beta version and has not been released unless requested. The Chinese Golden Week has passed now and so they should reply within 2 days.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Any update?
@curls The way you described it implies that there is no issue on the upload link. Can you install ookla speedtest application from playstore on your Android and check the download speed? Which cameras you have installed in your premises? And if you select low res (fluent --------- I told Reolink to keep consistency throughout and replace clear with high and fluent with low res)........would you encounter the same issue? Both WIFI and 4G/5G. If you are on HSPA then you will definitely have this problem.
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 Set playback to LOW and try to download a video file. And then set playback to HIGH and try to download the same video again. Ensure that you do not exist the download page. If you get out of the window then downloading will stop. They need to fix this and increase the file transfer rate from the camera side.
@curls But there is the possibility to select which channels shall be viewed when you select channels. As for lagging it depends on a number a factors such as the bandwidth available on your mobile network, access type, number of cams, etc. I have 6 cameras and have no issue on watching them altogether in live view on my smartphone. Can you switch your smartphone to the same WIFI network the cameras are connected to and try again?
@paul-e-devine_529935763341484 Nobody is perfect in this world not even the Mona Lisa picture. Indeed they have improved and are still improving. And it is not the first time that I showed disagreement with their methodology. They need to listen to the customers and act immediately especially in this world of competition. But appreciate that development takes time and there are decisions to take, sometimes it takes me days to troubleshoot an issue on complex mobile/IMS networks. Criticism is a form of communication which forces the other party to think about how others view his product/service and the right criticism gives him the advantage to provide the perfect service/product the customer is looking for.
@user_615408209375314_615408209375314 Hereunder please find the fields I was referring to. Ensure you select all the time under timer. Note that this is available for video and image depends upon your selection. You can also store the file in same directory too.
@bill_614391396167710 So your iPhone is no longer receiving push message notification from the camera. If this is the case switch off the camera and on again. If you are still unable to receive push notification then restore the camera. I assume that you haven't applied any upgrades or changed any setting on iPhone.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 An application of a callout is the DOORBELL. We might be waiting for a parcel and want to be called when the courier presses the button on the doorbell. Receiving a push notification is not adequate especially if we receive lots of messages on our smartphones. It doesn't necessary need to be VOIP but other methods exist.
@user_597865199738960_597865199738960 We refer this to grouping. You can group them under scene mode.............say you want to activate 1 to 8............and deactivate 9 to 16. You can do this. In addition you can include a common text in the name of the camera........say camera1barn1, camera9barn2. Grouping may be become handle if further action is needed to be executed.
@feriengut-neuhof_610107439104114 According to their website they are showing the last stable firmware as v.3.1.0.956. So the other one is still not yet officially available but you can email Reolink support and asked them for the new firmware. It's easy to upgrade through the Windows Client. If after upgrading you still have the issue then ask for replacement. https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/
@user_gil_603497361449078 Too technical. The P2P server will give the reolink client on your smartphone or Windows PC the address of the camera. Like the address of your house. If you move to another house and you didn't inform your friend about your new address, your friend will send the letter to the old house and it will never reach you. If the camera is not battery operated all you need is to switch off the circuit feeding the power outlet to which the camera power cable is connected to.
@isa_415848235172067 Definitely, just install the solar panel outside facing south and in direct sun (preferably) and it shall keep it fully charged. Draining of the battery depends on the usage of the battery operated camera and if not constantly used then the charging through the solar panel shall suffice. For your perusal I have 2 Argus 3 Pro powered through solar panels and I really forgot them. If the power cable supplied with the solar is not enough ( I think 4.5m) you can purchase an extension which is also 4.5m. I think Reolink have it. This is what I did too. Sorry to reply in English. I forgot my French.
