@saf3_480263206457537 Which version of Windows client are you running? I am running the latest 8.8.4 and cannot reproduce your scenario. So you must have something related to your environment.
@user_645880601444421_645880601444421 I have been running both the 8.10beta and the 8.8.4 without the issues you raised in points 1 to 3. Point 4 is an issue which they need to correct. Yes, the upgrade doesn't work on neither the camera nor the application. I have raised this with support but didn't get a valid answer. I think that this may overload the servers where the firmware and application reside. I also proposed to at least prompt the user with a pop up informing him/her that there is a newer version. Hope that this will be implemented.
@ermaconsolini_619748074721328 just add it to crontab.
@hometheater503_202558512976108 SD??? You install the applications on SD?
@campbell_99 Go to Amazon and search for donolomo bracket as cited below. Even on ebay you can find a lot of corner brackets. Moreover you can do it yourself, just buy an aluminum sheet and bend it.
@ermaconsolini_619748074721328 Under FTP do you have Generate Subfolder by? If yes select CLOSE and the file will always be at the root defined in the ftpuser profile. If no then you need to add the folder in the script. It's fairly easy to delete folders older than 1 day for example...........find /ftpuser/* -mtime +1 -exec rm -rf{}\;
@hometheater503_202558512976108 Try to email support. Meanwhile try to go back to the previous version.
@crimp-on_62210811129 DNS and DHCP are entirely two different things; each one of them has its purpose. Normally the DNS address is assigned the gateway IP which shall forward the DNS query.
@dverleysen_151162104025310 It's entirely possible to mix static IP and DHCP addressing schemes. Since the default DHCP address range is between 100 and 149 (unless you changed it ... check it out), you'll want to avoid all of the addresses between 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.1.149 when you're assigning static IP addresses. That leaves the ranges from 2-99 and from 150-254 wide open, which is usually plenty for most home networks. Or else disable the DHCP of the router and have fixed IP on all devices within the same lan.
@hometheater503_202558512976108 This Android 9 pie is now 5 years old. Since then there were 5 major Android upgrades. Would you consider an Android upgrade? Most probably support will ask you to upgrade.
@input_343270296944801 I have Argus 2 and Argus 3 Pro and have brightness control under Display. So they haven't added brightness on the first generation of Argus PT!! Try to email Reolink support and ask them if there is any newer firmware version. Include the hardware version of your Argus PT.
@marsh-house_658922658557990 Check this out https://reolink.com/blog/record-security-camera-for-24-7/
@bob_65499640606940 Unfortunately there is no way of creating a hidden account. For what reason do you want this hidden admin account if you are the administrator?
@input_343270296944801 Normally this appears under Display. I don't have an Argus PT. Check this out. https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/13401089697049-How-to-Set-up-Brightness-Shadows-for-Battery-powered-Cameras-via-Reolink-App
@sicherheitstechniker_268838991474823 Today most cams manufacturers implement the standards IFTTT or MQTT protocols rather than an HTTP API.
@rainman Through CGI you can only obtain the SD capacity but no more. There is no access to Linux. To know what's stored on SD just insert it in your SD slot of the PC. You just see files. No folders.
@user_629911810629744_629911810629744 Matter is here and together with Thread they should make smart home connectivity a lot easier. But it is still not yet there on camera since version one lacks functionalities. But it will come.
@wrathchild_34 Yes this has been observed by many customers on the new Windows client 8.8.4. Hopefully they will fix it.
@sj_291112514777230 It simply resets the configurable parameters to their default value. This is referred to as factory setting. Similarly if you click restore on WIFI cams, all parameters are resetted with the exception of the WIFI as otherwise you will lose connectivity.
@user_658824716533794_658824716533794 I don't think this is possible with the existing hardware. Hope we see this in the next video doorbell generation together with callouts to our smartphone.
