@user_781074242527474_781074242527474 Reolink client won't run in minimise mode. You can create a shortcut and set it to run in min mode and then use cmd start Reolink.lnk.
@user_775801804398831_775801804398831 Do you have 'any motion' enabled? Try to disable it and leave person/vehicle/pet detections.
@matthew_635366143033465 Have a look at https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/comments/12coght/the_new_home_assistant_reolink_integration_is/
@user_777574030070010_777574030070010 It indicates motion. This is detected for when you have tagged 'any motion'. The 'any motion' will generates an alert for any movement and may really upset you. I normally use person, vehicle and pet (AI).
@nickburt218 I did leave the notebook for 8 hours and the lagging was 2 seconds. It didn't change at all. All my cams are synchronized to NTP every 1440min. If it remains constant then I do not consider this as an issue. I do not think the issue is within the camera as otherwise I would have seen lots of complaints at the community and reddit.
@user_780488697958579_780488697958579 We have asked support to put it bold in the manual. For all my outdoor cameras I use the junction box and even in the junction box I do use the amalgamated tape. Moisture gets in and if it enters the reset switch, the camera will enter a loop.
@woody_763791720210624 if you are using the SD card, can you remove it and insert it again? Make sure that the reset button is sealed from any moisture or rain.
@nickburt218 I see that the max lagging time is always 6s. I have left my notebook running Win client on 3 RLC cams. They differ 2 seconds from my PC time. I didn't synchronize them to the PC. Will see if the 2s will be maintained.
@ed_758691584823482 Normally the WIFI extender is connected to the BB router which has DHCP enabled. Disable DHCP on extender. Then connect nvr to poe switch and poe switch to bb router. Be careful on the ranges assigned to dhcp.
@user_780488697958579_780488697958579 Of course all cables should be protected from moisture and rain. Use amalgamated tape and preferably put them in an IP 55 junction box.
@dave_775875133067455 I suggest you to take it up with Reolink Support. Does this happen even if set to fluent?
@user_gocamera528 whatever has been encrypted, it can be decrypted no matter what algorithm has been employed. Nothing is safe, not even your bank account. However, there are policies one follows to mitigate security breaches. For your info, so far Reolink protocol has not been breached. And it is not https....
@nickburt218 let's wait for some more hours. I think we have exhausted all the tests.
@user_780297176101116_780297176101116 I am a customer like you and I am here giving support based on my engineering skills. A second or two is expected since the media has to flow through P2P relay servers and then reach your mobile (if you use mobile data). If, however, your mobile is on the same network as the doorbell then it should be less.
@alfred-bols_468961834086562 This shows that you are connected through an external network to reach your cameras/NVR. To reach your camera the PC Client has to request the assistance of a P2P relay server (service provided by AWS/Azure). So the flow of media is from camera to P2P relay server to your PC running Reolink Win client. The bandwidth on the P2P relay servers is not infinite and is not free at all. Reolink are paying for this service and in order to avoid congestion they have set the resolution to default (Fluent) each time you move away from the camera. However, this is not the case when your PC is on the same network as the camera.
@user_588567793635436_588567793635436 As long as you know what you are doing it doesn't matter at all. You can go for static IP on all the devices and inhibit DHCP on the client or else enable DHCP service on the router and the client and all devices will request the DHCP service to provide the IP and the Gateway IP. If you are considering multiple DHCP servers, remember that multiple DHCP servers cannot share any of the same addresses. If you use more than one DHCP server in your network, each server must be configured with its own unique IP address range.
@user_716836976738468_716836976738468 If it is still under warranty then contact Reolink support.
@nickburt218 So this means that the time on the camera is correct and subsequently the issue seems to be in the way the image is displayed by the client on the PC. Can we change the priority of the Reolink client? Start task manager and go to tab Details. Find the Reolink processes and set it to a higher priority. Realtime may kill your processor....I guess. Do it on the PC where there is the highest lag.
@user_779346621022398_779346621022398 Beyond the fence it is very difficult for the camera to identify a person. And on the other camera you have any motion and so it detects the movement of the person. If you set the other cam as persons only, most probably it won't detect it either. I also see that the IR lights are rather low on the RLC-1224A (LED 2pcs/28mil/850nm) compared to the DUO 2 (LED 6pcs/20mil/850nm). Moreover the RLC-1224A has a better sensor than that of DUO 2. I think if you add an external IR illuminator, it would help the RLC-1224A to detect movement beyond the fence during the night.
