@christian-brandoni_694834290954619 Agree. I did forward mine a couple days ago. Send them in clear mode.
@philippe I fully agree. They need to improve the object detection algorithm during the night. And sometimes during it generates false alerts as person detection. I have asked Reolink link about this.
@itsme331888_708245449163331 I miss temple bar and Guinness :).
@user_735157958693082_735157958693082 Please submit your requets on https://support.reolink.com/requests/I have a standalone Reolink floodlight and I can adjust the light to stay on up to 3 min after motion ends. So this is not available on the Duo Floodlight.
@user_720647334826202_720647334826202 Good that I was of some help. Unfortunately the scene mode is a feature for Android application. In my opinion there is more to be done when it come to interfacing with 3rd parties applications. What I suggest you is to submit your request on https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@stingray_736374312435858 You're welcome. I am on Win and Android. Even PIR used for alarms behave like that. I have them in my home alarm system and if I place a cartoon in front of me and I walk very very slowly in the direction of the PIR....the PIR will not trigger. Mind you I am a customer like you and have no information of the hw/code of the cameras.........I am a software developer too.
@stingray_736374312435858 Reolink battery operated cameras are not meant for 24x7 as otherwise you need bigger battery capacity and a big solar panel like the 4G cam. But again if there is no direct sunlight it will not charge and if triggered quite often it will turn off. It's essential that one checks his/her requirements against the specs of the item being purchased. I am an engineer and the first thing I do is to read the specs. Some cams have 'others' other 'any motion'. In your Ultra you have Others. So if you have a power socket in the vicinity of where you install the camera I recommend you for a powered (dc or POE) camera.
@160334357029011 At any time you can revert back in the event you are not satisfied with the upgrade. Ensure you have the old client and voila'. I always update applications and when I am not satisfied then I roll back. Even at work with applications running into millions of Euro.
@user_679396783857823_679396783857823 Agreed. Submit your request to https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@stingray_736374312435858 The best cams are based on pixels change detection which have longer range say 100ft and beyond. Of course such cams are dc powered either by an adapter or POE and are continuously capturing an image. If triggered by an object then the recorded video includes a pre-motion detection unlike the battery operated cams. In battery operated cams only the PIR circuit is functioning with the application being in cold state. So when the PIR detects an object it triggers the application to run and starts analysing the object and so on.In my Argus 3 Ultra I set PIR sensitivity to 100 and the Person sensitivity to 60. I removed any motion in recording/push notification so as to avoid false alarms. And if you wish to submit requests and ideas then you can do so on https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@stingray_736374312435858 Typical paths of a PIR. So to trigger it the object has to cross adjacent paths. The farther you are the wider the adjacent paths and so it won't trigger. And the ambient temperature can greatly affect its sensitivity. This limitation should be considered if you are looking at motion detection for outdoor. The more extreme temperatures of outdoors can have a significant impact on devices' effectiveness.Motion tagging is done at the application level. I have asked Reolink to implement this at source as being done by the competitors.
@s-stoessler_71959255531 The device order shall be fixed on v8.13.X
@160334357029011 And I am still running v8.12.1 and have no major issue. Minor issues are issues which you can accept and are not likely to affect the usability of the application. And there is no application even costing millions of Euros without any minor issues. It is impossible to test every possible scenario.
@bluebagger_738351971991797 You need to submit your request on https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@stingray_736374312435858 Check this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000583003-What-is-PIR-Detection-Distance/I have the Argus 3 Pro, Ultra and DUO 2 and they won't detect person if he/she is farther than 9m at max sensitivity. And of course PIRs are triggered if the object moves across and not approaching. Therefore positioning is quite important.
@user_720647334826202_720647334826202 There was a survey to improve the existing scene mode as per article https://community.reolink.com/topic/6233/survey-on-reolink-app-scene-mode?post_id=23852&_=1695324355660I have requested to add both schedule and status to the current scene mode. I did also requested geofencing............but I don't think we will see this.Have a look at https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026049414-What-is-Scene-Mode-and-How-to-Set-the-Scene-Mode-for-Your-Cameras-on-Reolink-App/
@manrot_376517035909361 Just go to the specs of the camera and check the protocols supported. For Browsers you need http/https.From the specs of E1 Pro at https://reolink.com/product/e1-pro/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw06-oBhC6ARIsAGuzdw1fuopOB8JLDefR6Yz2uFPrf_PEWNyI5fd_MNrzfsm3tezzdzxnUEUaAo5rEALw_wcB#specificationswe see that http/https are not supported.
@kristof From the various models I have, the motion tagging feature is only available on live views for Argus 3 Pro and Ultra, TrackMix and DUO 2. In playback mode in clear mode, the motion tagging doesn't work on these models.
@bluc2go_656616439939907 Submit your request to https://support.reolink.com/requests/ Otherwise nobody will hear you :).
@crimp-on_62210811129 It is still in beta version and needs a lot of work. It doesn't work in playback mode and not all AI cams are covered. And I have already told Reolink support that this should have been implemented at source and not at application level. For instance a 30 bucks Wyze camera can do this locally as it should be. Notwithstanding their implementation will create inconsistency. My personal opinion as a customer.
