@jfbaro_664228245382261 AV1 could be the future of codecs, but older codecs like H.254 and H.256 have their merits as they offer better compatibility and lower encoding time on current hardware.
@jfbaro_664228245382261 facial and license plate recognition still not yet in the roadmap announced by Reolink. Facial and license recognition require substantial processing power and storage and so this entails for a home base unit which Reolink don't have so far.
@perkins-tony_647500713214819 That should be fine. And this is the second reolink doorbell right and yielding same symptom. I still think there is something wrong in power. How about feeding it with the provided power adapter? Just to test and eliminate AC power.
@user_684685147787494_684685147787494 Yes you can. Check out this links https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000580003-how-to-View-Multiple-Streams-at-the-Same-Time-on-Reolink-App/ and https://reolink.com/blog/connect-raspberry-pi-to-ip-cameras/If you have a power outlet in the vicinity, I suggest you to have the dc power DUO 2 rather than battery operated DUO 2.
@perkins-tony_647500713214819 What is the secondary VAC of the transformer? For Reolink doorbell it has to be 12-24VAC 50/60Hz.
@jfbaro_664228245382261 Not yet. No dates provided so far.

@jfrederickx_531421351882978 Can you show the firmware and hardware versions of both Argus 3 Pro?
@kevin-marchant_394632396636406 That's good. I have requested it as soon as I have been given one to test it out. We require voip call whenever the button is pressed. Competitors already have it. Thanks.
@user_695794891215069_695794891215069 Email them and give all the details supported by photos and they will surely replace if it is within the warranty period. Should be a defective seal.
@dgordon42_415060065599711 But while roaming, are you able to connect to your cameras via the visitor mobile network? Most probably Telstra is applying FW rule and won't allow such traffic. Maybe they will allow you if you opt for a fixed IP service. I do apply FW rule at the SBC (P-CSCF) to restrict customers from using the SIP credentials and use it from somewhere other than their location. Can you try to use the DDNS on one of the camera and use the URL to access it.
@user_695585880694946_695585880694946 This is available on the recent firmware and client.
@user_695622089978094_695622089978094 your proposal came too late. ...I wrote my two thesis now.
@perkins-tony_647500713214819 Are you using the power adapter provided by Reolink or you are powering it through a transformer?
@john_359114089328787 Yes you can. Check this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012466173-All-Reolink-Client-Versions/
@user_695001177313467_695001177313467 Of course the PC has to be on all the time similar to recording using the Reolink PC client. In Cerberus you can share the files and set a expiration date after which the files are automatically deleted. Alternatively you can have a service running in the background which shall delete files after say x days (in Linux 'cron job' and in Windows 'scheduled task'). It's fairly easy to set up.I have never used Netgear router but once I read that you can plug in a USB and use the embedded ftp functionality. You can either use DDNS or the IP of the router. If the IP of the router is not static (ISP can assign any IP to you router after the leased expires) then better to opt for DDNS. It is easy to remember. However, you need to re-schedule manual deletion of files on the USB.NOTE: FTP is not secured and the credentials are sent in plain text. SFTP is not supported by Reolink. Only FTP and FTPS are supported on their cameras. So on the router apply a FW rule to restrict port 21 from outside.
@dwdrum_518877324853453 Can you tell me which version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package you have? If not then install this https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe and re-run Reolink client again.
@user_695001177313467_695001177313467 There is no file override when the folder holding the recorded videos reaches the configured size. However you can send an alert when the configured remaining space has been reached. As for the ftp, install cerberus free ftp server on your PC and configure ftp or ftps on your cameras. Should be fairly easy.
@billing_392289715716327 Can you please let me know the model of cameras you tested out? I never tested out that scenario. Thanks.
