@railfan-arizona_485965826351268 It is rather difficult to test all possible scenarios and some problems emerged when installed on different systems having different configuration. But rest assure that the supplier will definitely do his/her utmost to correct these issues if found to be from his/her side. In my case I had no issue to install and run the 8.10.x clients on two notebooks. No java errors, no crashes. The issues which I found out so far are related to the stream resolution and I have notified support accordingly. Tools are exclusively available to the employees and we are customers like you but with our engineering and software skills we try to help wherever we can. We did help a lot and have been praised.
@user_693848468226224_693848468226224 In a Lab at a mobile operator we reached 1.35Gbps. It's amazing.
@user_693848588452017_693848588452017 Yes, nominal voltage is 48V (around 15W) which is derived from the power feeds to Telecom equipment. In case of E1 OD you can use the ethernet port even after installation. The newer E1 OD version has POE port.
@reolink-fiona After noticing the erroneous linkage, I have added the correct one so that members can download it. I have installed it on two distinct smartphones and would say no issues encountered so far. However, I kindly ask your development team to improve the communication protocol to reduce the time it takes for the live stream to start.
@kontra-laszlo_429237821739215 I have it installed on 2 PCs and had no issue at all (only the stream mode which I have reported to support). What java version do you have installed (32bit and 64bit) and what is your OS 32 or 64 bit?The only issue I have is the stream mode resolution for multiple view (mostly only Fluent available) and for single view (the selected stream mode selected is forgotten once you quit the live view) when I am connected to an outside network.
@crimp-on_62210811129 or an attached reset cable :).
@cris-graue_508300932612324 The 8.8.5 is still in your PC. It's under C:\Program Files (x86)\Reolink. Create a shortcut to the reolink.exe and on desktop rename it as Reolink 8.8.5. Double click and yow will be running the old client. Note that the configuration has moved to the 8.10.3 and so you need to add the cameras again. Else uninstall both 32bit and 64bit client and install the 32bit 8.8.5 client.Note that I am running the 8.10.3 and the only issue I have is the stream mode resolution for multiple view (mostly only Fluent available) and for single view (the selected stream mode selected is forgotten once you quit the live view) when I am connected to an outside network.
@user_692173041451191_692173041451191 Support should have told you the size of the screws. It happened to me once but managed to find one in my jar full of screws.
@user_j I have installed the 8.10.3 and had no issue with Argus 3 Pro, RLC511, Trackmix, doorbell, E1 OD, E1 Zoom, Argus 2 and floodlight models. The only issue I have is the stream mode setting when accessed outside the cameras LAN and when in multiple view...only fluent. Support informed and working on a solution.
@user_693381428428973_693381428428973 Definitely there is something in your java or Windows environment. I did install all the 8.10.x upgrades and never encounter any issue and was able to run the client. Of course I found functional issues and I reported them.
@railfan-arizona_485965826351268 Correct. Deleting it and adding it will sort the issue. But I would report it to support to investigate why it happened. This shouldn't have happened.
@j_kimbro_164018064425172 Apologise for what has happened. Thus is the case of multiple vuew as simgke view is fine. Revert back to 8.8.5 until they sort it out.
@john_54770793298 it should be something in your environment of Windows. Error 126 means dll library is not found. I had no issue at all to install any of the 8.10.x clients. I did find some functional issues and I reported them to support. However, I am still using the 8.10.3 as per my requirements.
@burkm_172321696190677 Missing what? For the pupose of cameras it is more than adequate to have 100M for each poe port and 2G as Uplinks.
@big_ted This was not catered for in the 8.8.5 client upgrade routine. It should have deleted the 32 bit version and install the 64 bit. No rigorous testing. I have them both but I know how to handle them.
@big_ted Yeah so far so good but the stretch mode should be extended to single view not just in case of multiple views. My engineering logic says..if you implemented to multiple then do it for single view.
@big_ted Indeed. This 64 bit client brought lots of issues to Reolink customers especially those who are not technicals. I am running the 8.10.3 and have forwarded my complaints to support but their reply was not what I was expecting. Hope there will be improvements. You needed to add the cameras because when you updated the client, the configuration has been moved to the 64bit client.
@janser-dienstleistungen-gmbh_257000373518575 The issue of battery operated cameras is that they are in cold state and when triggered by an event it takes some seconds before they start recording. If the object movement is fast enough then the camera won't catch it. Otherwise yes I also do not see the need of such a hugh solar panel. I prefer to focus on other important functionalities customers are requesting rather than a panel. But this is my personal opinion as a customer. There are myriads of important functions to include....the list is endless. I guess the demand will be low.
@dwdrum_518877324853453 it could be a corrupted dll library when you were installing the client. Can you try to re-install it? Note that the new client is 64 bit while the other clients were 32 bit. The 32 bit client is still there but if you ran it there will be no cameras. So if you have it re-install it.
@user_688413853466839_688413853466839 Toggle again VPN and add exception to Reolink appl. And ensure you are on 4G/5G and try to lower the resolution. Avoid HSPA.
