@user_684398941024481_684398941024481 This is one year old and generic. Old cameras like Argus 2 don't have detection zones. But I gave you a screenshot from my Argus 3 Pro which is the one you are interested in.Have a look at this URL https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/6811055940249-How-to-Set-up-Detection-Zone-for-Battery-powered-Cameras-via-Reoink-App/
@user_684398941024481_684398941024481 Argus 3 Pro supports detection zone per object type (motion, person, vehicle and pet).
@brett-hyink_464759829713142 I have no issue to view my cameras through my 4Gand 5G smartphones. It not only depends on Reolink but there is also the WIFI at home, the copper or fibre path from home to the BB service provider, routing within its IP Core backbone, the interconnect from this ISP to the mobile operator IP backbone, from the mobile operator IP backbone to its Packet core (MME, SGW, PGW), from its Packet core to its Radio network and from the Radio network to your smartphone.
@kweckstrom_652263608210296 DUO 2 uses H.265 codec for high definition (> 1440p) and so you need to use the following URLs.Main Stream: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.196:554/h265Preview_01_mainSub Stream: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.1.196:554/h264Preview_01_subUse VLC and check you have both Video and Audio in both streams. Also make sure you have RTSP turned on under Network Settings > Advanced > Port Settings > Set Up > Enable RTSP and Save. It's off by default. To use RTMP you need to install the 3rd party software such as OBS or Streamlabs which shall allow you to remotely watch the live feed from your security camera or share the YouTube live stream to the rest of the world, or if you have a website, you can even embed the live stream on your website. In case of you tube you need the stream key which can be generated from your youtube account.rtmp://admin:admin@192.168.1.196:1935/bcs/channel0_main.bcs?token=[TOKEN]&channel=0&stream=0&user=admin&password=admin
@jlj Check that you have the latest firmware on the RLC-812-A. Sometimes the one shown on the site is not the newest and so I suggest you to email reolink support.
@jedi2020_32727772450952 IoS I meant MAC.....was in a meeting with my engineers while typing :).
@jedi2020_32727772450952 By now they should have fixed it for the Windows and IoS clients. But I am skeptical whether this will ever be available on the cameras. I think they do not have the resources. Other brands will inform the client that there is a new firmware available and then it's up to the customer to upgrade.
@arestis_676622578688071 Depends how long the camera has been on the market and what bugs have been discovered. For instance in Nov'22 I got the WIFI doorbell and since then I have upgraded it three times. And there is another firmware on the way. As for the client this depends on new products and bugs. Say around 4 times a year based on 2022. Moreover if your camera is not in the download center then every now and then email Reolink support to check if there is a new firmware. Sometimes the site is not updated.
@arestis_676622578688071 Point 1: Unfortunately none of the Reolink products are able to perform update automatically. Recently they have introduced this auto upgrade on their Windows client and when I tried it it failed. I had to upgrade it manually. I guess they have sorted it out.Point 2: Have you upgraded the client to 8.8.5? Are you able to connect through the iPhone using both WIFI and Mobile packet data?Point 3: I did request this too. It would be very handy especially if you have a number of cameras. Point 4: We have requested Reolink to add STATUS and a schedule for the scene mode. We have also requested the Geofencing but I didn't see any feedback from Reolink if and when this shall be implemented.
@vicsin42_101676883706035 Do you get connection failed from the Windows client? Did you try to delete it and re-create it? Did you check that all the units have the latest firmware together with the clients? Do you have an NVR? Can you describe how the cams are connected and the models installed?
@user_683775042048242_683775042048242 I have an E1 OD for more than two years and never had any connectivity issue other when Reolink carry out some maintenance works on the application servers. I have only the admin account. So the camera was reachable on the same WIFI but not outside the router. This means that the E1 OD was not forwarding its private and public IP to the P2P servers. You could have restored the camera. One can identify the issue by capturing traces on the WAN. Nevertheless it's working and this is what counts.
@user_683782586220703_683782586220703 Under device volume.
@user_683244414582984_683244414582984 One last attempt. After you get successfully connected, being on the same WIFI, try to add it through the reolink client using the IP. Get the IP assigned to camera from Router.I have 2 Argus 2 for 4 years and never had any issue. They are being powered by solar panel and nearly forgot them.If you buy one ensure that it detects various objects types and read reviews.Have you taken it up with Reolink support?
@user_683244414582984_683244414582984 Seems a hardware issue. Argus 2 are now 5 years old and would say warranty elapsed. Try reolink support
@john_254650199167188 Detection on these cameras is based on pixels change per frame with the sensitivity giving the depth of changes. So once there is a change then the camera will trigger an alarm. So in order to avoid false alerts another logic is required. And this to determine the object type in the FOV. This is AI and so to get rid of these false alerts you need to upgrade to the A version.
@thornton_620874794598455 If the alarm delay is set to 1 sec (eg) then the camera alarm will be triggered only when the detected object stays in the detection zone longer than 1 sec.
@user_683244414582984_683244414582984 On the iPhone you have disabled WIFI right, just to eliminate the router. If this doesn't work then there is hardware issue. Perhaps the battery. Can you unplug the battery from the camera and charge it separately and then plug it again and check? Also check battery contacts for any oxidisation.
