@user_623715019411529_623715019411529 You need to check whether you have WIFI coverage at the camera location and that there is no obstacles. Are you using the 2.4G or 5G Hz bands? If possible opt for 5G connectivity which has less latency, less interference, higher speed and better efficiency. I do have an RLC-511WA and sometimes (say 5%) the camera failed to response to messages sent on port 9000. I took it up with Reolink support and after exchanging a number of emails they have devised a new connection methodology. Email Reolink support and ask for the firmware.
@user_585783633887262_585783633887262 Get one of the microSDXC and format it on your PC to FAT32. Then do search for 'SD card speed test' and install one of the applications and check the write/read speed and for any eventual errors. If the outcome is fine then re-insert it in camera and do some recordings and check them out.
@reolink-fiona There is an issue on the 4.33.0.5. It displays the vehicle motion sensitivity as zero which in reality it is not. Actual value is correctly shown on the Windows client. Support notified.
@crimp-on_62210811129 this is a simple chat amongst the members and if both happen to be on-line at the same time.
@user_585783633887262_585783633887262 If I understood you correctly you removed the SD from camera and placed it in SD slot of PC and played the recorded videos. Here you got the issue for both low and high resolution files. Right? Can you format one of the SD and check recording again? I am using Samsung evolution plus 128G and 256G micro SDXC. Never had any issue. If, however, this is occurring only when viewing through the client and it is happening on all cameras then you have a bandwidth issue. Check wifi signal level and try to use the 5G Hz band if available. Check upload speeds near the cameras.
@user_623346741346376_623346741346376 If you have a good 5G Hz coverage the camera shall stay on this band even if switched off and on. Perhaps you need to have the camera forgetting the 2.4G network.
@user_623346741346376_623346741346376 I have this model in my setup with detection zone. I have never had any trigger coming from this zone. Which detections have you set? Recall that there are other settings to configure, namely, object size and alarm delay.
@jedi2020_32727772450952 To add Pan and Tilt
@neil_chaplin_is_450076909830276 If one needs person and vehicle at the same time ....... Well this can be achieved by having a schedule for each detection type. And to be more flexible this has to be distinct for each detection zone.
@l-évêque-du-péché_541504511598783 I have been using the new Android version since Fiona provided the link and so far haven't encountered any issue on Samsung S10, S10+ and S21. Can you turn off the hardware decoding? If still unable to view cams then email Reolink support.
@alvaro2 I have been telling them about this for quite some time but they stated that there are so many different versions that if they do it they will cause more issues. Moreover there is the need of more hw resources to handle the download part. Well I will still include them and do a disclaimer. This is costing them in customer care resources. And people want to know what has been solved and what has been added. And if we know this we can test these features and report back. Anyhow it's their strategy.
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 Did you try on Windows client? Which camera do you have?
@alvaro2 Well, beta firmware I won't expose them to the general public but in the forum I will so that I will get the feedback. After all we are here to support them.
How about adding a live chat to this community? It shall improve the support experience for customers. Let me hear your comments and ideas.
@bart_615084702298143 I think that there is an IMSI detach after the session timer expires and the session is not re-established or if established the camera is not sending messages to Reolink P2P server to update the new IP (if changed during the new session re-establishment). Normally Mobile operators terminate the data session after 12 hours. Smartphones then re-establish the session once there is an IMSI attach. This has to be captured at the Reolink side so try to email support. If you are storing the recording on SD, please check that you still have the recording.
@alvaro2 Please email support and check if there is a newer firmware. Mine is on a newer firmware. They need to improve the wake up time across all battery operated cameras as sometimes the object is missed. As for point 3, are you connected to 2.4G or 5 GHz? I am on 5G and I do not have the issue. Can you try to play it at low res and see if this will re-occur? Can you repeat the same tests when you are on the same WIFI as the camera?
@crimp-on_62210811129 good one not even higher nowadays. Not worth it.
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 Did you try it on Windows client using high and low res? And on iphone please set the preview to lowest res and try to download again. While downloading do not exit or minimize the application as the download will stop.
@user_606356352876545_606356352876545 And if you power it from a USB power adapter connected to mains, will you get the same behaviour? If not then there is an issue with the solar panel.
@big_ted Hopefully we will see it soon. Client doesn't send the request to the server to check. It's a question of hw resources :).
