@reolinkshayla A great step in the right direction for those with a Wi-Fi NVRA question asked elsewhere too, is the client update option enabling auto update or just option to download the file off the website and update?
@seb_526812765704330 There is also different varient releases and some models have a newer firmware version number, although is the same firmware. They sometimes use different version numbers to identify different releases with the same model numbers, but this also just adds to the confusion.
@user_746623229407444_746623229407444 I have contacted support, even for a Beta test, and still estimating end of Feb but nothing official yet.
@stran512_466815019049166 Close the app and try again, if still not working either reinstall the app or email support.hopefully is a simple fix
@user_781125498593441_781125498593441 if your trying to contact support, try their email. I usually get a response pretty quick.
@arterton_377256427802856 What is the sound issue? not recording or cant hear anything from the client?was this issue happening with previous version?
@reolinkshayla Do you know which firmware version is required?Im currently running V3.0.0.2555_23080702 which i dont know is officially released yet?
@reolinkshayla Hoping the RLC-811WA is available soon, maybe even the Duo 3 WifiGreat to see Reolink bringing new hardware, hopefully 2024 is the year of improved software!!
@nick_26792935116 send an email to support and they will send out the most current firmware if there is one. The auto update and download section arenot always up to date. Ive had great success with support sending out updates. Also note that just cause there is a newer version doenstmean it is any difference. Some firmwares have had version number changes for different model releases without any actual changes.
@joseph_1979 yes for sure. even at a little higher price will be a game changer!
@reolinkshayla Although loving the bigger MP coming out of Reolink, still hoping we see some physical bigger sensors come to future single lense models.
@greg_765217682145441 you can also email support and if there is a newer firmware available they will email it to you or push it through to your client/app.
@reolinkshayla We always have ours up before Dec 1st. Kids are always waiting for it...
@joseph_1979 funny that support wont tell me that. I even asked a few days earlier if there as a Beta to test and they said no.but that would explain why the update was pushed through the client. They have said an official release is due soon, hopefully...
@big_ted So official response from support so far is that this update is only a beta, which doesnt make sense since this was published via the pc client and there is no specifc change list so farother then bug fixes and improved performance. So currently unsure whats happening but still working with support.Has anyone else had the update come through?
@user_711725607157890_711725607157890 nothing specific, maybe a little bit better accuracy with alert tagging and motion detection, but still testing.
FYI: My doorbell cam firmware jsut updated to v3.0.0.2555 23080702Unsure at present what changes were made and have requested info from support.Update was done through checking in PC ClientWill post here when I hear back.
@reuven-goldenberg_36887769641 It is something we have requested but not actioned.Check your download folder as a previous version may still be there.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Yeh, Mine errored each time, so manually updated through the client. I think the update rolls out separatly to each region, so dont think far awayit is now live on the reolink download section.
New Windows client is available V8.14.2. Have only seen listed as bug fixes and improvements to user experience.
