@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 iOS app update needs to go thru Apple's App Store. That is not case for the Mac Client.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Auto update works on Mac Client for me. I was surprised.
@reolink-fiona Dual lens 2K battery camera.
@villasecurity The light should stay on as long as the camera continues to detect motions. I believe this is also the case for siren but I am not 100% sure. You can easily test it yourself.
@edwin_514841036439802 Latest iOS app 4.36.2.3 fixed this zoom issue.
@geeknologist_86028691640527 I'm not a fan of the stretch mode - distorted image. Besides, I always view my cameras in landscape mode on my iPhone.
@yursbarngrill_202827611205782 The latest iOS app which was released a few days ago fixed the pinch zoom issue.
"In addition, I was testing this with a 12MB camera and found that when a face is too far away from the camera, even a 12MB camera will not result in a clear image of someone's face."You have to consider the focal length and field of view when comparing the camera resolution. The current 12mp camera has much wider field of view compared to 8mp camera and the objects will appear smaller. So when you blow up the 12mp image, your pixel density could be lower than 8mp camera. TrackMix camera, for example, shows that the 1080P telephoto lens provides a better image at far distance than the blow up image from the wide angle lens with 8mp resolution due to focal length (8mm vs 2.8mm). This is the reason why I have yet to upgrade my 8mp camera to the 12mp camera.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Pausing is not possible while zooming with client, only with mobile app currently. So you will need to take a snapshot with client during playback without stopping which is annoying. Reolink is aware of the issue and hopefully they will address the issue soon.
@reolink-fiona My question regarding the new zoom function is that how does one adjust the zoom level? It is great that you simply tap where you want to zoom. I get that. But I don't see the zoom level control in your video to adjust the zoom level.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 iOS app can do that too. It appears that function isn't available on desktop clients (Windows and Mac) currently.
@reneeh63_670704778559524 I just drill holes to the pvc junction box.
@thresher81_667599009603590 Clear is only available on single window view. Use two fingers to tap the trackpad and you will see the clear option in addition to balanced and fluent.
@markarron9_504005354344625 Color is fine if you have two cameras. If you have 4 or more cameras it becomes confusing. Notification displays the camera name so it is never an issue for me.
@smarthome-wifi_457296088305827 I know this doesn't address your issue but Windows OS is junk. I migrated to Mac after Windows 10 and never look back. I highly recommend you look into Mac with Apple Silicon chip. I throw everything at it and the chip just yawns.
@brad_532657611677883 They don't need internet. They just need WiFi. WiFi router is pretty cheap these days.
@user_645880601444421_645880601444421 I am not sure which router you are using but I am not seeing the issue with my ASUS router. Perhaps, your router issue?
@reolink-fiona Speaking of storage, Reolink should consider a NVR lite product - NVR without PoE ports. That makes the product smaller, cheaper and power efficient. As you are aware, many reolinkers use PoE switch to connect their camera while using NVR to record 24x7 in order to make their cameras standalone. So there is a market for it.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Digital zoom on non ptz camera is already doing that. So I don't see why it can't do the same for the ptz camera. Heck, my 10+ years old Canon ptz camera does just that. Point the cusrsor and click, the ptz camera will pant/tilt to center that location. Using arrow is too clunky and slow. This ought to be a high priority item for Reolink.
@neverbob_211767671742603 Why can't you use micro sd card?
