Video analytics process video in real-time and transform it into intelligent data. They automatically generate descriptions of what is happening in the video and are used to detect and track objects which also could be categorized as persons, vehicles, pets and other objects in the video stream. Video analytics turn simple IP video into business intelligence. We can use the camera to identify a License Number Plate and the car model and used it to open a gate (normally done through RFID). Other examples are shelf occupancy sending an alarm when the number items is below a threshold, parking lot monitoring citing the empty spaces available, face and gender recognition, crowd detection, congestion detection and many myriad of other analytics. Video analytics requires volume of data to be very accurate together with powerful processing power. Some camera suppliers are building their AI technology on cloud platforms thinking ahead of the future requirements. Is Reolink thinking about this business intelligence?
Can you let us know what are the plans for Reolink to introduce geofencing? And how about having a multitude of push notification? Perhaps rich notifications. Your competitors already have them for quite some time. You need to act fast to lead in this market.
@hamad366_797571640402067 On Android this is available in picture-in-picture. I don't use IOS. I suggest you to submit your request to support on support(@)reolink(dot)com
@user_736903663919286_736903663919286 We have requested this to Reolink. This is only available for the standalone floodlight.
@user_822884704698612_822884704698612 I missed this request. If you know some networking protocols, you could have connected a PC to the POE switch and run Wireshark. The phenomenon of reloading or getting powered off in the middle of running can result from the insufficient power supply and poor-quality PoE cables.
@user_763484564779201_763484564779201 Is BI running on same PC where you have the Windows Client?
@vigy_591093180735512 Reolink dev team has to implement. I know how to implement and code it but I am a customer. So I suggest you to submit your request to support like what I normally do.
@newysurfcam_826122846044314 To 90 degrees it's a NO. See https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000603746-Can-I-Rotate-Camera-Image-90-Degrees/Only FLIP and MIRRORING are allowed. See https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004724613-How-to-Flip-the-Image-via-Reolink-App/#:~:text=Launch%20Reolink%20App%2C%20go%20to,image%20vertically%20by%20180%20degrees.
@reocam_448003255267488 There are sites which host this new client. Just do a search for 'Reolink Android client old versions'. I have been using it for weeks now and so far no particular issues (based on the features I normally use).
@jk1211_705377705345248 What can I say. I am a customer like you and wish that they give more considerations to the customers requests. Their HW is quite good but the sw needs improvements. We are missing a lot of features. You may request again support on support @ reolink . com
@villonesm_80414159839437 Please note that1. Walking towards the sensing area of a PIR detector may result in later detection as it is possible to walk towards the PIR sectors without crossing them (which is required for detection).
2. Walking across the detection area of a PIR detector results in a rapid detection because multiple sectors are crossed quickly triggering the detector.
@user_828616743243981_828616743243981 I will email their support team to request dev team to evaluate it.
@big_ted Let's see the results especially at dark. I have been doing a lot of tests and would say that the detection at day time is awesome, rarely it misses an object. But I won't say the same during the night when it solely depends on its IR. Sometimes both my RLC511WA and E1 OD miss an object every now and then during the night. I asked support to tune the AI detection during the night time when the cam is in quasi total darkness. Otherwise they are doing a good job though we ALWAYs want more and more.... but mostly is software and this won't take long to implement.
@user_831986059370713_831986059370713 Try to email support on support(@)reolink(.)com. Maybe they will help you on how to source a white doorbell. If you are not in a hurry I will wait for the new one which shall be released shortly. It shall include package detection and have a wider vertical FOV.
@williamjjames65_518880897646817 Viewing H.265 streams is handled by the client. Uninstall all old Reolink clients and re-install. If you get the same issue, try to install Redist DirectX.
@user_718562609025233_718562609025233 No. I don't have any NVR. I just record on the micro SD.
@ron-morgenstern_794924005208288 When it comes to the transformer you need yo know the VA, that is the voltage x current. You need to know the current provided at that voltage. So if the secondary voltage is 24V and the VA rating is 24VA then the current supplied is 1A. But if it is 24V and 12VA then the max current is 0.5A. Moreover 200feet is a bit long and so you need wire with lower AWG (thicker wire) so the voltage drop is low.
@williamjjames65_518880897646817 Client uses old DirectX dlls. So now you have client working on both OS. Note that if you use the client from an external network, viewing is always defaulted to fluent and you have to change it to clear. This is due to the P2P Relay server bandwidth offered by 3rd parties (Azure/AWS) and this is not infinite and free.
@avperede_213931771191537 From the specs of the POE doorbell, you can see that it can be powered either using POE or 12-24VAC 50/60Hz, 24VDC. For data you can use the ethernet cable.
