@schonuf Kindly report this to the Reolink support. They will delve further using their diagnostic tools.Most probably this an issue with your nvr.
@ben_633780143636494 You stated that you managed to connect the Yale cam to Blue Iris. To get the port I suggest you to capture a wireshark trace when you connect it to Blue Iris. You shall see the port and the URL. The data is sent using RTSP through HTTP tunneling in TCP packets. The data for all the streams is sent through the same port.
@user_634252559302720_634252559302720 I already informed the site administrator to improve the search engine. Thanks to put it in a thread on its own. I forgot where I wrote mine . Too much tasks.
@schonuf There is a newer firmware. Go to Reolink download centre.
@ben_633780143636494 See on which channel the camera is and follow this https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014731133-Set-Up-the-Encode-Settings-Via-Reolink-PoE-NVR
@schonuf I was in a meeting with Nokia when I read this and so was not focusing. Apologize. Indeed the behaviour is identical and subsequently it seems to be an issue with your NVR as otherwise this would have certainly been raised. Did you check with Reolink support whether your NVR has the most updated firmware?
@schonuf Which KVM switch are you using? Note that most wireless mice and keyboards do not support working with KVM switches. Please check for compatibility with the KVM supplier.
@user_634160500043891_634160500043891 You're welcome. We try to help wherever possible. To sort such issues one must have the appropriate logs generated at the camera and of course traces at the cam side (mobile signalling I know it quite well :).
@william-neff-powell_322032569897175 Just follow the procedure outlined by jcon hereunder and it should be ok. Version 8.03 is quite old.......I am running 8.10 beta and would say no major issues.
@user_634252559302720_634252559302720 Exactly. I provided this info weeks ago. If the application runs then they can do this from the application menu.
@user_634160500043891_634160500043891 Just to eliminate this user. Do you have another Android smartphone? If yes please install the Reolink client and add the camera using the UID (you can find this under info). Then log from this second smartphone and select low res. Do the same on the first smartphone. Then connect with the first smartphone and stay in live view. From the second smartphone log on the camera and stay in live view. Stay in this mode for a couple of minutes. If all OK then from the first smartphone change the resolution to clear and check the live view of the second smartphone.....if OK change the live view of the second smartphone to clear and leave it for a couple of minutes. Then exit from the second smartphone....leave say 3 min and log again ......... check that the session is not released. Do the same with the first smartphone. Disconnect both and log again.
@user_634160500043891_634160500043891 Reolink battery cameras should allow up to 8 users to stream videos simultaneously with 2 users watching main-stream (Clear mode - high def) videos. Just a suggestion, try to view at low resolution (both of you). Can you try it using the Android and Windows clients?
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 download and install onvif device manager and see if it gives you the port.
@ben_633780143636494 580. check which port number the cam uses. See manual.
@ben_633780143636494 try port 8000
@dfolsom_350525179879608 correct. And if you get it as soon as you run the application change it in the setting file. I already explained how to do this in a previous reply.I suggested Reolink to set the default hardware decoding value as false.
@andy Can you please repeat the procedure but do not play any live view? If it is fine then disable the hardware decoding and try again with a live view.
@lars_447246396440768 Can you please check that from the doorbell you are able to hear the other party speaking through the iphone? I have an issue with the latest Android client. It is barely difficult to hear the remote party speaking at the doorbell side. However, this issue doesn't appear on the Windows client.
@sunnydene_633805740503166 Most of the new AI cameras produced by Reolink have motion, person, vehicle and pet detection. The pet detection is still in beta as they are refining it to handle a number of pets other than dogs and cats. Well NVR beat NAS as they are easy to setup, have integrated networking with POE and have seamless recording and playback. Remember that an NVR is a function-specific for video surveillance video cameras and storing video. NAS is not really designed around a surveillance system unless a surveillance station is installed. Somewhere I read that NAS do not have the capability for face recognition and deep video analytics.
