@sidewayswalking_374465193087231 just create a bottle and install Windows Client and voila' as an interim solution. But hopefully one day we will get the Linux version too.

RE: Locked out of app - can't recover password or change user - EI camera
@lynnelko88_536587443753194 If it is installed go to setting, applications and find reolink. Click on it and click on storage. Click on clear data and clear cache. Go back and uninstall reolink client. Then install it again and check whether there is any request for password. Of course you have to start from scratch as you need to add cams again. But it is not a big deal unless you have tens of cameras.

RE: Trackmix WiFi can't do patrol/cloud?
@salamanteri_635967195598951 According to its specs, only auto tracking is available. And it seems that cloud storage is only supported on the TrackMix battery operated camera model. Maybe Fiona can provide the reason why this is not available on the other TrackMix models.

RE: Doorbell visitor notification improvements
@info_526910647251162 Yes, this is missing together with the capability of using the existing chime. It should provide a loop for the existing chime to sound.

RE: starlink formatting
@user_639574029807723_639574029807723 Argus 2...is a WIFI battery operated cam and so no need of POE. POE stands for power over Ethernet...a cable which runs between a switch or a router to an ethernet port of the camera side and provides power and allows data to flow in both directions. Argus 2 works only on 2.4G WIFI band so ensure you select the SSID belonging to 2.4G.

RE: starlink formatting
@user_639574029807723_639574029807723 Definitely there are lots of users who have connected Reolink cams to Starlink. If your cam is POE then you need the optional adapter.

RE: Camera to outdoor place without wifi or power.
@adsdslandicas_607820684710066 With that requirements there is only one option............have a chair, a bottle of fine wine and watch out. Joking. So if there is no power then you need a camera charged through a solar panel. Reolink offered a range of battery operated cameras all of which can be charged through a solar panel (around 30 bucks). But battery operated cameras cannot operate continuously but are activated when an event is detected (vehicle, person, pet or any motion). This, of course, impose a limit on the detection range provided by the PIR. It's around 33 feet (10m). Again all the cameras support SD with capacity up to 256GB. If the camera is not triggered often this means months of storage. Now comes the issue for you. You can configure it at home where you have Internet and check that camera is recording, etc. After you install it on-site how can you ensure that it is working correctly since you have no WIFI and you don't want to have mobile connectivity. Even so if it is recording then you need to pull out the SD card and have a PC to view the recorded videos. This is really impractical. You definitely need a camera with SIM and Reolink have them. Now you need to weigh whether to spend a few bucks to get a data SIM or someone stolen your cows and you get notice the next day you visit your farm :).

RE: APP v4.34 Update: Add Tracking Range & Fix Sensitivity Bug
@reolink-fiona Can you please check whether 4.35.0.5 is available for testing? Appreciate if users are notified of updates and bugs solved.

RE: Doorbell visitor notification improvements
@olive_608518832963622 that's the first implementation of Reolink doorbell. SIP calling will come too hopefully.

RE: Connect RLN8-410 nvr to a hotspot?
@user_637644440174696_637644440174696 The request is from the above user who wants to connect the NVR to the internet and there is no copper and fibre. So I propose him to use a 4G router.

RE: Weird green and magenta on pictures
@keithsrobertson Excellent. Can you please report it to Reolink support citing your graphic driver version? This seems to be one of the big problems with this client.
-
RE: Weird green and magenta on pictures
@keithsrobertson Did you get the same issue with ver 8.8.2? Can you switch on the hardware decoding first and try to take another snapshot? My Argus 3 Pro is on the same firmware and have no issue. For sure its the interaction between the client and the graphic drivers.

RE: Reolink Client v 8.8.2 stops recording after camera reboot.
@user_594027275649135_594027275649135 You're welcome. Reolink support notified.

RE: Reolink Client v 8.8.2 stops recording after camera reboot.
@user_594027275649135_594027275649135 After rebooting the dynamic settings in the camera (ordered by the client to forward stream) are lost and the application is unaware of what happened at source (camera). So there will be no streaming towards the client and the client doesn't check the stream. I think Reolink should monitor the stream and if no more packets are reaching the client, it shall re-activate the recording. So for the moment I suggest you to inhibit the rebooting at the camera side.

RE: Client v8.10 Beta Test - Framework Upgrade to Improve Streaming Stability & Fix the Black Screen Issue
@robert-hammond_315369854550200 This is rather the protocol between the client and the camera and has nothing to do with the recordings. It seems that the client was unable to get the play list. Can I suggest you something please? If the issue re-occurs can you please capture a wireshark trace and forward it to Reolink support (you can filter on the IP of the PC and that of the camera). They shall identify and correct the issue. But as stated I have been using 8.10beta for quite some time and nothing similar ever cropped up.

RE: How to connect to cameras via Reolink Client on another computer?
@user_594027275649135_594027275649135 I never encountered this in any client I have used so far including the 8.10beta. However, please note that if the cameras came as a kit....then you won't be able to add them using UID as this is not assigned during production. But you stated that you were able to add them using a very old Windows client. So there shouldn't be any issue with newer clients. Could be something left in the pc while installing and uninstalling. Try to uninstall it and delete the reolink folder under appl data/roaming. Did you try to watch the cam through the browser (cams not battery operated)? You need to activate http and use port forwarding on the router.

RE: Need a Model RLN-210W
@nellywadman_540141701607677 Did you email Reolink support who will direct you to their sales representatives?

RE: NVR POWER CORD
@donnarnich_409809414480058 No specific power cord. Just check whether the AC side of the adapter is C7 (figure of eight) or C5.
