For the wifi cameras with auto-tracking, you can look at RLC-523WA and E1 Outdoor. They can both be connected to the NVR without cable and they support ONVIF, which means that they can also be connected to the Blue Iris.

Hi there, you can try to upgrade your RLC-823A with the latest firmware v3.1.0.956_22041511. Download it here, Download Center – Reolink.

In this firmware, the patrol will operate the shortest routine between the preset points.

For the spotlight, you can choose to activate it by detecting the person/vehicle.


For auto-tracking, you can enable the option on our alarm settings.

Can you try to connect the camera to your phone via the same wifi? Check the wifi signal too. Try to make your camera closer to the router.

For the spotlight issue, you can check if you have turned it on. Advanced->spotlight->Auto.

That may depend on your setup. If you don't have the need to wire the camera in a far place like another room, it is suggested that you connect the cameras to the NVR directly.

The speed of the PTZ and the patrol function now are only available in the camera model(RLC-423, RLC-523WA, and RLC-823A).
