V8.8.1 is the windows/mac client
IOS and android app have different versions, but they have also been updated if you check your device app store.

I believe there is still some issues with windows 11 that are being worked on. Hopefully a fix soon as more people transition to windows 11

ive been looking at a separate IR light as the built in one causes reflection off the number plate surface.
other option is if you can use the spotlight for night time vision.

It can upload speed on home internet connection.
Also try turning off hardware decoding in app and see if it improves

which version app are you using?
does it do it all the time, wether on 4g or wifi?
it shouldnt be normal but can happen. I have found newer app better though

after your reopen, do the videos load if you press the refresh button on the camera image?
or only after your close the app and reopen?
and to confirm it doesnt do this if on same wifi?
Usually mine works fine, but if they dont auto reload after minimizing the app, I can just press the reload image button and works perfect.

Thanks for the reply.
After a few days and adjusting brightness, shadows etc and having bitrate higher ive noticed a small improvement in quality. ive never been able to read my number plate in the driveway, within 5m away, and now it is legible. time will tell.

@ramms_119_396004748976341 have you tried changing image quality to fluent?
potentially could be a data upload issue from your wifi.
Or try turning off hardware decoding.

Do you have the threshold settings for day/night?
In Auto you can adjust the sensitivity as to when it will change from day/night mode

@reolink-fiona Another question, does the higher bitrate setting force the camera to use higher bitrate, or just allows
it if required?
if the setting just allows it maybe thats why I havent seen any changes so far?
