@nerds-2-you_704747014320378 I have it too since it was released and don't have any of the abovementioned issues. But on a particular server I was able to simulate the missing icon and the calendar issues. These issues have been solved in v8.11.0 which is being improved and tested.Ensure your cam has the latest firmware. You can check it out in the download center. If you encounter any issue please share them here and report them to Reolink support.
@igor-slabchenko_673018933325951 That's the PC speaker volume. It works on both 8.10.4 and 8.11.0Beta.
@campbell_99 If you have no video output from the NVR and no access through the client then it's hard to troubleshoot. Kindly contact support giving details of your hw and firmware versions.
@user_698266943291577_698266943291577 Good choice........ See what improvements have been made since the Argus 2....... who knows what to see in 3 years time. Let me guess :). More machine learning allowing more object type, more cloud computing, tracking objects in 3D, more integration with Augmented Reality, smaller units, accurate face recognition, ..................... and more and more.
@nicolamarigo_550773237989575 Reolink NVR is specifically built for Reolink units. However, it might be able to record the stream through ONVIF but you won't be able to control it for sure. To control it you need to connect the camera to a switch and use the supplier's client to control it. Most vendors have their own proprietary protocols and this gives rise to interoperability problem. You find this in all fields esp in Telecoms and considering that there are well defined standards. So in your case either to have another NVR or a generic software based NVR controlling both brands. But accept the fact that such a sw NVR won't have all the features and flexibility of the supplier NVR.Nevertheless I suggest you to send your request to Reolink support for their evaluation.
@senzo150_417180774088936 Email Reolink support and they shall provide you with the details. Hereunder is what I came across.
@user_706745482862788_706745482862788 They are working on new upgrade 8.11.x. Check this beta version https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.11.0.exe Missing icons and calendar are sorted out but there are other issues.
@jimbrown-net Understood and here is a solution.Install the video controller extension on Chrome from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/video-speed-controller/ and you can adjust any speed you want using S and D as illustrated below. Enjoy.
@jimbrown-net Why don't you use their clients?
@user_657668497326169_657668497326169 I suggest you to email support. This type of cam is not in their latest roadmap.
@maineac_706707508990194 Yes, they are fixing bugs and developing some new features . Personally I won't make my application available to the customers unless I am 100% sure that it is functioning correctly. I used to spend a lot of time testing and re-testing before handling it to my customers. The missing icons in live view and the calendar issues have been solved. However, they still need to solve the clear mode stream and the floodlight configuration.
@user_705976039272636_705976039272636 Kindly send a request to Reolink support. In this way we show them what features we really need.
@user_705976039272636_705976039272636 If your cameras are battery operated then check the following linkshttps://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000605283-How-to-Adjust-PIR-Sensor-Angle/#:~:text=The%20detecting%20distance%20of%20PIR,heading%20straight%20toward%20the%20camera.https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000583003-Introduction-to-PIR-Detection-Distance/Which models do you have?
@adam-burgoyne93_672964039733368 Unfortunately the Rich Notification is only available on the WIFI doorbell and hope they will extend it to the POE version. This is, of course, available through the cloud against a subscription. Please send a request to reolink support at support(at)reolink(dot)com. Replace (at) by @ and (dot) by . as sometimes the site doesn't allow us to insert links
@edv_427090991087801 You need to allow the following1. Sever port 90002. HTTPS port 443 (used by client and API),3. RTSP and ONVIF ports 554/8000 if you shall be streaming4.When loading the live stream on a web browser, RTMP port 1935 needs to be forwarded4.FTP/FTPS (explicit) - 21,30XX,5.UDP ports (>20K) -- for media. If camera is accessed remotely, the flow is camera <-----> P2P Relay server (AWS/Azure) <--------> your PC/Smartphone.6.DNS -- 537.P2P servers - p2p(0-15)(dot)reolink(dot)com - UDP port 99998.home-cdn(dot)reolink(dot)us - Firmware Download9.pushx(dot)reolink(dot)com - Push notificationI suggest you to capture a wireshark trace on the BB router and you will see what is really needed.Note: We cannot include links and so replace (dot) by .
@user_706402023055505_706402023055505 Right now Reolink doesn't offer such a unit and I don't know if it is in their plan. However, if you do a search you can find fixed cameras which monitor the water level or else opt for a sensor (ultrasonic) which can send messages (MQTT or Matter) to your home assistant. I still suggest you to make a request to Reolink support.
@freeman_705005673685206 Can you confirm or otherwise that the recordings from the cameras are forwarded to the cloud? This is the easiest way to implement. Otherwise the client has to query each camera and populate the thumbnails and this entails time especially if some cameras are battery operated. It may even pose some issues to play a selected thumbnail.
@freeman_705005673685206 This is indeed a good suggestion. So this shall somehow rely on push notifications which on its arrival the application shall register the event together with the timestamp. The issue I can see is the limitation of the number of push notifications per application on Android which is limited to 24. Thereafter any further push notifications are rejected. Can you elaborate how it works on the other client? Please submit a request to Reolink support.
@nic-willcocks_67438631916765 This has been fixed in v8.11 which shall shortly be made available to the general public. Controls in the new version have been moved to a tool bar beneath the view window and the calendar issue fixed too.
@reb1000_674333231243424 It depends on if the cameras are standalone or directly connected to your NVR. If your cameras are connected to a switch then it is fairly easy. Just create another account (non-battery operated cams allow two level of accounts, admin and user with the latter having limited privileges) and provide the UID to the shared user. If, however, your cameras are connected directly to the NVR then there is no way to share particular cameras.
