@bart_615084702298143 I think that there is an IMSI detach after the session timer expires and the session is not re-established or if established the camera is not sending messages to Reolink P2P server to update the new IP (if changed during the new session re-establishment). Normally Mobile operators terminate the data session after 12 hours. Smartphones then re-establish the session once there is an IMSI attach. This has to be captured at the Reolink side so try to email support. If you are storing the recording on SD, please check that you still have the recording.
@alvaro2 Please email support and check if there is a newer firmware. Mine is on a newer firmware. They need to improve the wake up time across all battery operated cameras as sometimes the object is missed. As for point 3, are you connected to 2.4G or 5 GHz? I am on 5G and I do not have the issue. Can you try to play it at low res and see if this will re-occur? Can you repeat the same tests when you are on the same WIFI as the camera?
@crimp-on_62210811129 good one not even higher nowadays. Not worth it.
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 Did you try it on Windows client using high and low res? And on iphone please set the preview to lowest res and try to download again. While downloading do not exit or minimize the application as the download will stop.
@user_606356352876545_606356352876545 And if you power it from a USB power adapter connected to mains, will you get the same behaviour? If not then there is an issue with the solar panel.
@big_ted Hopefully we will see it soon. Client doesn't send the request to the server to check. It's a question of hw resources :).
@big_ted They need to change their strategy and adopts what their competitors adopt. If not implemented on cam then it should be done on the application side. And addition to the upgrade notification there should be a brief description of what has been solved/added/improved or removed. Yesterday I saw this approach on TAPO.
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 Can you please try it when you are on the same network as the cameras? Just a test. Do it with res being set to high and low res. Thanks.
@reolink-fiona As a startup its OK but it has to be increased to cover wider angle and longer range.
@reolink-fiona A friend of mine has a tapo application on his android smartphone and it automatically checks for any camera firmware upgrades. Whenever there is an upgrade the user is informed by a message (like Windows). In addition it also provides details of what has been fixed, improved or added. This is really customer oriented. When Reolink shall implement this?
@user_622187375816740_622187375816740 Kindly email Reolink support. Maybe they have a method of doing so which I am not aware of.
Thanks for the update. Can you please let us know what bugs have been resolved by this release?
@stephen_619472659562515 And if I have a circular home :). Good to know that you are happy with the product.
@user_622187375816740_622187375816740 I guess you opted for a battery operated cam as there is no power outlet in the vicinity. If there is then Reolink has a number of cameras which entertain your request to have RTSP live streaming. In your case you can download the recorded videos (object triggered) stored on the SD or the cloud...... but you need Reolink client. Following this https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009597894-How-to-Download-or-Back-up-Recorded-Videos-from-the-Cloud
@user_622187375816740_622187375816740 yes you can email a photo to a few number of recipients but when the camera is triggered. Cloud so far offers storage only.
@user_622190308724786_622190308724786 See if this helps https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900003640306-How-to-Set-up-Motion-Detection-Area-via-Reolink-PoE-NVR-New-UI-
@user_622187375816740_622187375816740 Unfortunately battery/solar operated cameras don't provide 24x7 recording and don't support the RTSP streaming protocol. Thence you cannot provide live streaming to you tube. You need to opt for another Reolink camera supporting the RTSP protocol. I do not think this cam supports ftp (as most battery operated cam). Not included in specs. If each member has the Reolink client then there is a limit of 12 concurrent users (2 high res and 10 low res).
@jakubdavid00_377934341955826 Send an email to support quoting your hardware version and ask for the latest firmware. They will answer you within 2 days. Note that upgrade from the camera is not activated. You need to manually download the firmware and update it either through Windows/MAC client or through the NVR. And on some battery operated cams they have to push you the firmware. Btw which model do you have?
@user_622121519181938_622121519181938 maybe it is faulty. Contact Reolink support to diagnose it.
@yoco007_164526624891019 Very simple........just follow this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005175034-How-to-Find-out-Camera-Firmware-Version-via-Reolink-PoE-NVR. Get the NVR firmware too and email Reolink support to check whether they have newer firmware. I have no access to such info. My philosophy is to keep sw updated to the most recent stable version.
