@dverleysen_151162104025310 Ha ha......... In my opinion it is purely a bug. Please report it to Reolink support and tell them how to reproduce it. Don't forget to include the camera HW and firmware versions. This might be with a number of Reolink cameras.
@user_591792059080827_591792059080827 You need to tune it up.
@meteone_635033864044546 Puoi chiedere a Reolink support. Non penso che si puo far con questo firmware.
@user_660263947960376_660263947960376 Can you try with Reolink Windows client? Download it from Reolink download center at https://reolink.com/download-center/
@user_623715019411529_623715019411529 It is the client which requests the DHCP service and so if camera is set to STATIC IP then it should keep this IP. However, if it changes its IP then there is an internal mechanism during rebooting (recall that there is a scheduled reboot on the camera) which requests IP from the DHCP and if this is honoured then the provided IP will be set. I am not the firmware designer and so I cannot say with precision why the camera changed its static IP............but I think this is what is happening based on my engineering knowledge. If you can reproduce it and can share the captured trace, we can check it out.
@kevin_603403140067368 I fully agree with you. Additionally the arm should have been stronger as in strong winds you will see the camera shaking.
@andrewadventure_658285543473233 Sometimes the answer is in front of us and our CPU is busy processing other prioritised tasks.
@user_659735806574608_659735806574608 Those which belong to AWS/Microsoft Azure are used for P2P servers while the others are for NTP (time) eg stratum 2 phosphor burn net (to replace space by dot as it is not allowed to insert links)
@dachnathaniel52_628201411564107 They need to add a scheduler to the scene mode. Last year I have requested this feature.
@user_591792059080827_591792059080827 Increase the Alarm delay by 1s for vehicle detection (restore sensitivity to 45). Have you used the object size and detection zones options?
@andrewadventure_658285543473233 Go to Main Menu (Upper Left hand corner)......select SETTING and then disable Data Usage Warning. And Voila'
@paul_201485632876727 Which of these versions is yours?
@brad_532657611677883 No need to have internet for the setup I proposed. The NAS shall be connected to the on-site switch. Moreover I cannot say with certainty that you can extend the HDD of the NVR as I have no knowledge of its specific design. They might be using proprietary protocols in which case.......forget it. Have you tried to email Reolink support? If there is no way to get broadband on site then the other option is to have a 4G router and use FTP. So how come they know that something went wrong when there is no way to communicate remotely with the NVR? No SNMP traps. I did requested Reolink to implement SNMP on the NVR but didn't hear anything.
@brad_532657611677883 Just add a cheap NAS and install an FTP server on it. And connect the NVR and the NAS to a switch.
@paul_201485632876727 Depends on HW version. Go to Reolink download center and check out the latest stable firmware.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Not always. You may directly use a public DNS such as google 8.8.8.8. The default gateway would mean that the DNS query will be forwarded to the ISP. For instance to get the A record for the p2p8 Reolink server from the google DNS server, in Windows cmd enter nslookup --dns-ip=8.8.8.8 p2p8.reolink.com Once the client receives the A record it will query each P2P server for each camera (connected ones) to get what? Guess :).
@campbell_99 I can understand you but it's their strategy. But as long as you can find it shouldn't be an issue.
@brad_532657611677883 Why don't you use the FTP service on the NVR?
@hometheater503_202558512976108 Normally data can be shared on SD but the application normally resides on the internal mem. Anyhow it works for you ........... If you need the details to the byte level of the mobile messages exchanged with both the packet and circuit switch core then I can teach you....ha ha ha....Even VOLTE which requires the IMS core. Have a nice day.
@saf3_480263206457537 Which version of Windows client are you running? I am running the latest 8.8.4 and cannot reproduce your scenario. So you must have something related to your environment.
