@user_627808207130635_627808207130635 Generally yes, but there can be limitations on the wifi dongle and performance/reception that can determine if it will work. What dongle and camera are you trying to use?Have you confirmed if there is good reception?some cameras may also require to setup via a cabled lan and then connect to the wifi network.
@gadgetjim57_270452819845297 I know some electrical suppliers have a spray that is suitable for all the circuit boards to waterproof them, maybe they also have a sealer for where parts join in the camera. Otherwise a hardware store should have a silicone sealer that would work.was it just condensation in the camera or it actually filled with water?
@user_610927526518900_610927526518900 Thats a new one.Have you tried the newer firmware for the camera? v3.1.0.956_22041503That may fix the issue. Pet detection should be able to be switched off.
Horay, my Reolink Video doorbell Poe has arrived. Havent had a chance to install and get up and running yet, but have opened and checked it out.See photos below.
@user_585783633887262_585783633887262 This is also something that I was wondering. I have no need for them either, but still unsure what reason someone could need them.
@schanen-lyons_552815606821084 Email tech support and they will be able to send out the latest versions.
@big_tedWhat's New1. Updated the Web Client2. The device name for the camera is not allowed to set to blank3. Support setting time when the camera is connected by ONVIF (including time, time zone; DST setting is not supported)
I have just rechecked for latest RLC-811a firmware and noticed that a june update has just been added. Previously was V3.1.0.956 and has no just changed to V3.1.0.989but i had checked a few or 2 ago and this was not here. Unsure on what changes have been made but thought unusual that an update was made available months after release?
@moragtekk_533858579546346 The auto update in the client is not a currently working feature. will be activated at a later date.Best to check at https://reolink.com/download-center/
App has landed in Australia, working fine so far, no issues - running on Samsung s21 and s21 ultra (Hardware decoding off)
@reolink-fiona Things I would love to see, although I think Reolink is going in the right direction1) Standalone Infrared light that could be used alongside cameras.2) A large image sensor version of the 811A cameras, that has improved image quality and clarity. Something with very high image detail3) software improvements for app/client effeciency and software/firmware update via app/client
@greg-rouble_520911357984897 I believe this is coming soon to some cameras as it is now being used in some marketing materials
@lyle_531706038124792 I have been using the 511wa for a while now and have had no issues so far including with false alarms. Also no issue on playback via android app or windows client for recordings. I havent used the Argus series yet though for comparison. For the 511wa ensure the firmware is fully to date, firmware should be v3.1.0.956.Hope this helps and im sure Reolink will take the feedback onboard.
@alvarnell_68145054196 Yes from what I have seen only minor fixes as belowChange list:-Showed user type on Live View, Playback, and Download screens-Allowed users to set up retention days of video footage recorded to the NVR-Added an option to (not) show battery usage stats
V8.8.2 Change list from Reolink Facebook:-Showed user type on Live View, Playback, and Download screens-Allowed users to set up retention days of video footage recorded to the NVR-Added an option to (not) show battery usage stats
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Yes, absolutely needs a list of bug fixes/changes etc with each update.I know the auto update feature is coming soon, but hoping sooner rather than later.
Noticed a change with fixed frame settings, no longer clarity on or off just on or auto. Assuming fixed would be clarity first??
@reolink-fiona Have updated and so far working well Also updated the new client v8.8.2
I may have missed a announcement for this but appears a new Windows & Mac client has been updated to V8.8.2 as at 13th OctDownload here: https://reolink.com/software-and-manual/Change list:-Showed user type on Live View, Playback, and Download screens-Allowed users to set up retention days of video footage recorded to the NVR-Added an option to (not) show battery usage stats
@curlsif your client and camera firmware are up to date you should have these options.
