@luuke_869320929738914 Detection algorithm was not able to determine the exact object type. Can you send the video to support on support @ reolink . Com so that they will improve the algorithm?
@user_834458668150999_834458668150999 I have 2 Argus 2 fir 5 years now and had never any issue. I can connect using the latest Android and Windows clients. I can watch live views and can play any recorded clip. Check that you have good WIFI signal at the location of the camera and have an upload speed of 10Mbps at the router side. You may place cam near wifi router and check.
@big_ted And why we still don't get the prompt from the application that there is a new fw available. It can also list the changes or include a URL so that customers know what has been added/changed/improved or deleted.
@maxuline The last fw release is v3.1.0.989_22051909. I had the RLC511WA for more than three years. I would say that I never had any issue with this camera. This is being replaced by RLC811WA.After 2/3 years one rarely gets any fw updates.
@plum-hale_471695702057097 According to Reolink support, the dev team is working on motion tagging. Have no idea when this shall be made available.
@reolink-oskar Yeah, a poe Argus 4 Pro. A remark on the mounting. The mounting is similar to RLC-511WA, RLC-811WA, etc and it can easily be pushed downwards. Not tight at all. It has to be locked.
@andyl_899356171509953 it does record to both SD and the home hub. If camera is stolen then you have the videos in the home hub. To see the video in SD you need to remove it from hub. Reolink are wotking on a solution to allow users to see cam and hub videos separately. Similar to an NVR when cams are connected through a switch. Update on 08/01/25: Now Reolink are have update the fw of a number of NVRs whereby now they bridged the switch and I assume you can access the camera directly. I cannot say this with certainty as I do not use NVR. I use SD, ftp and HA.
@rockcock_637337742590075 We have already provided these suggestions to support. However, it would be helpful if you will submit your requests to support on support @ reolink . com. The more requests they receive the higher the probability we see them implemented.
@reolink-oskar Done. If they implement what I have requested you will be the Number One.
@maxuline Thanks a lot. I have subscribed to be informed once a new fw is available for all my cams. I didn't receive any email and so the service is not working.Installed. They should have added the pet detection, 5G preference, etc. These are routines which have already been deployed on other units. So most of the coding has been done and tested. The network issue was that if there is a power outage on the router, there are instances where camera won't connect to the WIFI. I had this and did report it several times.
@mlodge87_607028518432873 And if you use the PC on your home WiFi, you have the same issue? Which cameras you have installed? Did you try to switch off mobile data and connect to the home WiFi? Did you try to connect with fluent rather than clear mode? Do you have the latest version of the client on the smartphone? Do your cameras have the latest firmware?
@reolink-oskar In my opinion it should have been a WIFI 6 rather than WIFI 5 booster so as to have your WIFI 6 (current and new releases) cams anchor to it at WIFI 6 speed. How about having it powered through POE?
@maxuline I got it from support. Email them at support @ reolink . Com (delete spaces as site doesn't allow me). Fw version depends on hw version. Mine is older than yours. I won't think that they will add further features to the rlc511wa. They add the pet detection on rlc811wa.
@user_678736611209466_678736611209466 Can you paste a screenshot? I am away but once I get to my house I will upgrade it.
@chopstix camera...100M is more than adequate for a cam eth but the 1G interface costs merely the same. However, I cannot understand why they implemented the 100M eth port on Home Hub Pro and WIFI booster. So if you have 8 POE cams at 4K on the home hub then you hit the limit. Simple maths.... no laplace...no fourrier transforms....
@maxuline I did install it for several weeks now and so far no issues. However, I moved it to an area where only persons can be detected. Update: I did have installed an RLC-811WA in the location of the RLC-511WA. RLC-811WA has lower vertical FOV and of course a better definition since it is 8MP. However, I am having some issues with its WIFI stability. When there is a TCP retransmission the audio stops for a few seconds and sometimes the frames freeze. WIFI at this location is absolutely strong with 250Mbps/100Mbps and have other WIFI cameras in the vicinity and they have no similar issues. I told them that why you implement TCP as transport for Video and audio especially when using WIFI. I forwarded them traces indicating where is the issue.
@ken_197973053927635 It's beyond the reach of any powerful extender like TP RE650. Try to search for solar Nanostation as suggested by Chopstix.
@reolink-alyson Time flies too fast. So we were 16 years younger :). Keep innovations coming and listen to your esteem customers.
@chopstix You will learn and teach
@lekkoferreira_866142292218072 This is the way it has been implemented. This is not a calling feature but rather a push message notification. I have been telling them to implement it using VOIP (like what competitors have done) or XMPP. But so far no feedback.
