When using the Windows client from an external network, the stream always default to FLUENT when you open any camera live view. This is because they are using 3rd party service (Azure/AWS) to forward the media from the camera to the client. The bandwidth is not infinite.

Note that we have requested support several times to leave the stream setting as set by the user even when using the client on an external network. You may email support on support @ reolink . com and endorse your request.

@kimchigun IPC_NT15NA416MP (Hw version 1) is the newest Duo 3 POE. Maybe you have the first generation DUO 3 POE IPC_NT13NA416MP (Hw version 1). The last fw released was for the NT15.

@kimchigun RTMP has lower latency and normally used for live streaming. But yes I still say that Reolink have to improve the RTSP protocol. Maybe this is attributed to resources which are operating at engineering level.

A software NVR. Uh this will be a workload on support due to different platforms. We have issues on a simple client let alone having a software based NVR.

Personally the ads don't affect me at all. If they do I just simply ignore. They are on the main menu of the application which I seldom select. So I do not see this as an issue.

I am a customer like you and on this issue I can't help. So I suggest you to take it up with Reolink Support.

@chopstix It's a potential compatibility issue with Bosch FlexiDome cams. Reolink NVR is mostly meant for Reolink cameras. Not the full ONVIF standard seems to be implemented by Reolink.

@reolink-daisy With this newer firmware, the image in clear mode has low contrast/saturation, colours are muted, and the density is light. This may be due to lower fps (from 25 to 20) and lower bitrate (from 8k to 5k). I assume that the optimisation of ONVIF has lowered the definition. Would the dev team consider restoring these values?

Moreover before updating, I had full WIFI signal strength and now nothing as depicted below. I also noticed that to access the camera and get to the live view, it is taking around 1.5s more.

@reolink-alyson Excellent products. However. I would have enhanced the Altas by having the same resolution as the Altas PT Ultra and add IR lights (30m). Perhaps I would also consider to have a higher vertical FOV say 65 degrees.

Now they have reduced the number of client instances to 3. Previously it was 5. Processor usage ... average 2.5%.

@Daisy. Kindly include what has been added, removed and improved in the new Windows client. And it will be nice to have these in the 'About' menu.

@jing_734911040270566 I suggest you to take it up with support. For sure there was a change in player and they are using 3 instances. I am running v8.16.10 without any issues on both Win 10 and 11.

@big_ted but this is a collection of video and audio codecs used by Windows and its software. If I am Reolink developer I will include the codecs used as is done by most media player like VLC.

Anyhow I don't have this pack and I have no issue. Once I found out that their player was calling DirectX ddls which where not in my system and had to install DirectX redist.....and it worked.

I have no time to debug....busy

@user_834458668150999_834458668150999 I have 2 Argus 2 fir 5 years now and had never any issue. I can connect using the latest Android and Windows clients. I can watch live views and can play any recorded clip.

Check that you have good WIFI signal at the location of the camera and have an upload speed of 10Mbps at the router side.

You may place cam near wifi router and check.
