@reolink-oskar Can you tell us on which fw the quick replies mentioned above have been implemented?
@dotslash_888755199733903 Indeed the speaker and the USB port should have been under the camera. I have mine fully exposed and it did rain for days without impacting the functionalities of the device. It is classified as IP 66. While an IP66-rated camera is designed to be highly resistant to water, it is not designed to be submerged in water or to be continuously exposed to heavy rain or water jet. I do concur with you that the vertical FOV is rather low. And it is not only this cam but all the newly released cameras have lower vertical FOV. We have complained about this and asked Reolink to make it bigger as we used to have them in the past.As for the anti-theft (or camera left off-line) we have asked for a HB mechanism. In the event that this is missed for say 5 times an alert is sent to the customer in the form of email/push notification. The HB mechanism can be implemented between cam and P2P AWS servers, between camera and NVR or between camera and Home Hub. Maybe they can add a GPS and we get the location too just in case it is stolen. Why not. And if this is difficult for them to do then they can add a feature on the camera with adjustable time interval to send an email/push notification say every 12 hours.
@user_766423686758602_766423686758602 Can you connect to your network over VPN? You need to be on the local network and use webui, assuming you have either http or https enabled. Maybe you have someone who can connect his PC to your home network, do a remote login on his pc and then install the Reolink client or use webui,
@reocam_448003255267488 Yes you can. Check out this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000537406-How-to-Connect-PoE-Switch-Router-and-Reolink-NVRs/
@ddelrosso_61389620748490 I have the WIFI DUO 2 and this is set to event recording. The maximum recorded video per event is 5 min on the SD. If the object is still within the FOV, another file is opened.I only use sd, ftp and HA. Do you set the video file length on NVR?https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000640023-What-is-the-Record-Length-on-Reolink-Client/#:~:text=on%20Reolink%20Client-,The%20Record%20Length%20on%20Reolink%20Client,set%20to%205~60%20minutes.&text=Go%20to%20Client%20Setting%20%3E%20Local,change%20the%20Video%20File%20Duration.
@chopstix From the specs provided by the supplier, it is clear that it can be used as AP as illustrated below. Issue could be from repeater to router. So in this setup it is excluded.
@mzumwalt1_471118459977909 The simplest method is to replace the SSID and password on the router side with the previous ones. If, however, the cameras are within reach then change the SSID and password of the hotspot on your smartphone to correspond to the old ones. Then move smartphone near camera and use the appl to access cam. Then connect cam to new WIFI SSID. If you forgot the password of the previous WIFI network then you need to reset cams.
@chopstix Bingo. Yes I do remember that NT server. It could be a memory leak. It's the modern way of hiding problems which cannot be solved :).
@chopstix Thanks. Exactly this is not the immersive view but rather the dual view or separated view. When the icon shows one dark box then you shall see both the widescreen and the telephoto views on the same screen. Conversely, when the the icon shows two boxes then the widescreen and the telephoto views are on different screens. Just wipe back and forth to get the two views.
@crimp-on_62210811129 if your software is robust and well tested then there is no need of an auto reboot.
@flashmagnum_909351053578484 I suggest you to submit your request to support on support @ reolink . com. We are customers like you assisting members wherever possible based on our skills and experience.Note that when I see them separately, it is the same as the RLC-811WA, E1 OD Pro, Argus 3 Ultra, etc.
802.1XThere is no network authentication on any of the Reolink camera. Logging is through username/password credentials. If you need to add security then you need to have VLAN and use VPN to access them remotely.
@travasaurus_893442009145504 This is so on all clients (Android/Windows.. don't use IOS/MAC) for all dual lens 180 degrees wide cameras. DUO 2, 3 and Argus 4 Pro.
@reocam_448003255267488 Your Android smartphone which is connected to your home WIFI has Google services running on it which continuously update the Google FCM with its IP. So when the Google FCM receives the push message request from Reolink message handler server (AWS), it knows where to send it...to the IP of your smartphone. Consider the IP as your home address which is unique in the world. This is at high level as there is NAT at your router but this is beyond your understanding.
@davideotto Yes, I understand. In the Home Hub Pro this is solved. I suggest you to open a ticket with support.
@twitch04advert_547475244449986 If there is adequate external light then the spot light will not lit. Do you see the IR leds on? Most probably not because there is adequate light. I have one outside my main door and the spot light never lights up despite activated because of the street lighting. To check it out get it inside a dark room.Your firmware is more recent than what is shown in the download centre.
@mamymam2013_465350299701478 Like it or not, we have to adapt. Sometimes we have to let it go as it is totally useless and in addition it will be detrimental to our health.
@chopstix So we got through same problem. I opened a ticket. I will ask for an update.
@marius_ss_846431955587247 First of all I am not an employee of Reolink but rather a customer like you. I use a timeslot of my free time to provide support to members wherever possible. My support is based on my technical knowledge and usage of the some cameras.
@reolink-oskar With HHP I would add the Argus 4 Pro, the Argus PT ultra and the Argus 3 Ultra. Perfect match.
