@sibedad I have several cams from Reolink and never had any major issue. Wherever possible avoid battery cams. But it is better than nothing.
@barotropic_491975863558276 Can you delete the camera from the client and add it again?
@reolink-oskar so far it can identify an object, namely, person, animal, vehicle, etc. We now need to identify who is that object eg...face recognition, access social media to get info about the person,....if animal which animal, car which model, etc.....Enhanced AI.
@js1547_457196343931021 Agree. That's what I used to do when I was a developer. I spent most of the time planning and testing. But today this has changed with most suppliers launching products with inadequate testing.
@user_811568924922088_811568924922088 Apart from reset and start all over you have two more options.1. Change the ssid and password of the new router to be the same as the old ones.2. From your smartphone change the ssid and password of the hotspot to be like the old ones. Then from a pc access the doorbell camera and change the wifi network to the new one.
@drealine_329342379503810 It takes some time for the application to show Motion Mark on all the cameras. This happened to me on my Android appl. Maybe you can delete it and add it through UID. Have no idea what's the condition implemented on their application to add this feature for the camera.
@big_ted Well....it states worried about missing package. Then what about if for one reason or another the camera is unavailable. Do we get a notification? No...... and this is more important than the package.
@john_350143387672724 Good to hear that. I had to revert back to v8.12.1 as I am not getting the control icons (running on Win 10). I reported it to support.
@reolink-oskar This all boils down to costs. One of the key advantages of full colour night vision technology is that it offers clear and vivid colour images, even in near complete darkness say as low as 0.0005 lux. This is made possible by having a massive 1/1.2'' CMOS image sensor to capture more light, as well as a warm light that reaches up to 200ft. The technology has come a long way in recent years and continues to improve, making it a popular choice for cameras. There are also a couple different technologies to achieve full color. Some of the more affordable full color cameras use a built in warm light that can go as far as 100ft. More advanced cameras utilize two lenses. One lens captures visible light and the other captures infrared, both are then combined with clever programming to achieve a multi-spectral image. This means that with the same 100ft warm light, you can see even further in the dark. Another technology is thermal imaging technology which captures the temperature difference between objects. They use microbolometers to detect different amounts of infrared light which are then converted to images of heat signatures. Since these cameras can identify heat patterns, they can see even in zero light and when there’s smoke present. So thermal night vision cameras are very useful for security where visual clarity is important regardless of the lighting condition.
@user_634252559302720_634252559302720 Exactly. I provided this info weeks ago. If the application runs then they can do this from the application menu.
@luuke_869320929738914 Detection algorithm was not able to determine the exact object type. Can you send the video to support on support @ reolink . Com so that they will improve the algorithm?
@mrmoorey Hopefully this together with the disappearance of the icons bar shall be sorted out in the next upgrade.
@maxuline The last fw release is v3.1.0.989_22051909. I had the RLC511WA for more than three years. I would say that I never had any issue with this camera. This is being replaced by RLC811WA.After 2/3 years one rarely gets any fw updates.
@mamymam2013_465350299701478 v8.14.2 has solved the missing icons bars and has improved the video quality in CLEAR mode. I have upgraded from v8.14.1. I am still testing it and noticed some UI minor issue,
@andyl_899356171509953 it does record to both SD and the home hub. If camera is stolen then you have the videos in the home hub. To see the video in SD you need to remove it from hub. Reolink are wotking on a solution to allow users to see cam and hub videos separately. Similar to an NVR when cams are connected through a switch. Update on 08/01/25: Now Reolink are have update the fw of a number of NVRs whereby now they bridged the switch and I assume you can access the camera directly. I cannot say this with certainty as I do not use NVR. I use SD, ftp and HA.
@cédric_756173795434660 Can you set an alarm delay of 1 to 2s? I will email Reolink support to see if they have a newer firmware and if they have received similar complaints. Maybe they have a beta fw.
@maxuline Thanks a lot. I have subscribed to be informed once a new fw is available for all my cams. I didn't receive any email and so the service is not working.Installed. They should have added the pet detection, 5G preference, etc. These are routines which have already been deployed on other units. So most of the coding has been done and tested. The network issue was that if there is a power outage on the router, there are instances where camera won't connect to the WIFI. I had this and did report it several times.
@user_763449755173091_763449755173091 I suggest you to submit your request on https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@maxuline I got it from support. Email them at support @ reolink . Com (delete spaces as site doesn't allow me). Fw version depends on hw version. Mine is older than yours. I won't think that they will add further features to the rlc511wa. They add the pet detection on rlc811wa.
@cédric_756173795434660 Excellent. Fore sure it was either the cable or the connector. There are cable testers.
