@james-jenner_683177101791235 You can use the FLUENT first but try even the CLEAR mode. Note that you can adjust the resolution, fps and bitrate for each stream. In my case I select the max values. But in your case try to have the lowest to see if the issue is the upload bandwidth with the ISP. I have 1G/500M and can probe all the traffic at the IP core side :). And if this fails I have the 4G modem with speed 150M/50M bt if there is power failure then I am screwed :).
@james-jenner_683177101791235 From the camera's perspective it is the upload speed which is of interest. That is, the transfer of the video to the client. Having the same Admin user account should not be an issue. However, can you share the same Admin account with your partner, just for a test? Ensure that both of you try to connect to the camera using mobile data and at the same time (you can do it yourself by connecting the PC to your smartphone hotspot with the smartphone being set to use mobile data. Then use the Android client on your smartphone and the Windows client on your PC to watch a live view. If you opt to create a user account then the user can ONLY watch live view and playback and can't change any setting. In case of the doorbell, she/he can't even use the talk option. Therefore to use the talk feature she/he has to be an admin.
@james-jenner_683177101791235 20Mbps as upload is a bit low. Note that a 5MP camera requires a bandwidth of around 12Mbps. Remember 80/20 is what the ISP states but in reality you may have lower speed in both directions. If your wife uses your admin account, would she be able to communicate with the camera? Try to communicate with the camera simultaneously using the mobile data. the From camera perspective there is no issue.
@reolink_476567443320997 Reolink camera starts FTP connections and then updates to FTPS using the AUTH command. If this is accepted the the camera establishes SSL connection using TLSv1.2 (ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384), 256 bit encryption and after entering passive mode it sends the PROT P for a secured data channel. If, however, the FTP server is not able to upgrade from FTP to upgrade to TLS (explicit method) then connections fail.Do you have the Wireshark trace which shows what you are stating? Can you share it?Personally I would have opted for SFTP rather than FTPS......this is history now but of course more easy to implement.
@acanicio_729093081293029 That's the recent but the 8.1x.y clients require DirectX redist (June 2010). Download it and install. It won't overwrite the X11 but adding older libraries DLLs.
@demig0d-mne This has been solved through a firmware upgrade. Email Reolink support.
@mickael_709195517841646 I suggest you to submit your request on https://support.reolink.com/requests/This function seems to be available on the 16x.
@acanicio_729093081293029 Seems to be a video driver issue. Try to disable hardware acceleration first from the main menu of the client. The 8.12.1 requires DirectX9 and if you don't have it you need to install DirectX redist (June 2010). Try the 8.8.5 version which is 32 bit client.https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012466173-All-Reolink-Client-Versions/
@user_735157958693082_735157958693082 Check that you have the most recent QNAP application. Maybe they have added it.
@pv_685211684266100 How it has been sorted out?
@user_735098055106699_735098055106699 You can't unless you mask it. You need to have an 850nm illumination outside which shall automatically be switched on when it gets dark.
@ag_7034 And if you connect it to the router do you experience any disconnections?
@philippe So it was a faulty unit. I have the WIFI version and had no issue with guard point deviation. However, during the night the detection algorithm has to be improved as when I have a pet detection and there is a stationary car, the detection indicates a pet and car detections. I have reported it to support and awaiting response.
@radioastronomy_410111540293820 Not all customers have NVR and subsequently it should be implemented on both cameras and NVRs.
@user_588106575564907_588106575564907 Sure. Sometimes the download center is not updated.I suggest you that every 2 or 3 months email support for any fw upgrade of your models. This is what I do.
@user_588106575564907_588106575564907 A member stated that he was given a new fw. I emailed support and waiting for a reply.
@swrobel Yes, this is the heartbeat packet sent by the camera to the P2P server (from the received packet the P2P server gets the private IP of the camera and the public IP/port assigned to the camera (NAT) on your BB router). In your case the P2P service is provided by Azure (MS).This is required by Reolink client to establish communication with the camera from an external network. You can deny it by a fw rule on your router.
@ken-nicki_689090325979334 Agree like all commercial floodlights.
@hirlea-ciprian_530561076023536 are you sure you hot 404 in ftp? 404 indicates Not Found as in http and SIP.
@carolina-blue_619614170574906 You need to enable recording and format the SD before using it.
