After you try the phone APP, you can try to send the test results, video, and the system information of your tablet, iPad, or other devices to our support team. Our technical staff will try to help. @jeffabuck_475335209001117 Hi, for the PoE camera, it still needs to connect to the NVR with the cable directly. Or you can connect the camera to the PoE switch which is under the same router as the PoE NVR. In this situation, you can also record the video to the NVR.
@pdownes2001_384636162646205 Thank you for all your feedback which help us improve the detection feature.The "Alarm Delay" setting is only set for smart detection now. If you set up the "Alarm Delay", "Object Size" and lower the sensitivity, this will help reduce the false alerts that the rains/snow are recognized as the person/vehicle. But for the motion detection, is pixel-based. It will be recognized as motion when it detects the change of the pixel. Therefore, in this new AI firmware, the new setting can only be possible for smart detection, which uses the algorithm to detect the person/vehicle/pet. You can play the settings with the new AI firmware. Hope it can be better.

The working principle of motion detection is that camera will judge it as motion when differences in 2 frames reach 0.5%-10% (customize by adjusting motion sensitivity) of the image. When the picture changes, the number calculated and compared will exceed the threshold and instruct the system to automatically make corresponding processing.If you want to reduce the false alert, you can try to reduce the sensitivity and adjust the motion detection zone. For the PoE camera with person/vehicle detection and built-in IR light, you can try RLC-823A or RLC-811A.
